If you're in the area stop by Lucy the Elephant for a quick tour of an interesting historic building. We found ourselves driving north from Wildwood and decided to take the scenic route and drive through/visit all the NJ beach towns up to Atlantic City. Right away I said I wanted to stop for a visit at Lucy in Margate.... More

Worth seeing, but not much to see. Tour is about 20 minutes. Cost is $8 per person. Reasonably priced restaurant across the parking lot.

My husband and I drove down from Atlantic City to tour Lucy. I'm glad we were there in off season (April), because the drive down Atlantic Avenue is full of red lights, and I'm sure it gets a bit crazy during tourist season. There is VERY limited parking, maybe 10 spaces, and I'm sure that fills up quickly as well.... More

Everyone must see Lucy when visiting Margate or the down beach area (Atlantic City, Ventnor, Longport) In NJ. When was the last time you saw something this BIG? Never? I bet! Spend a couple of bucks and walk through the insides of the elephant. Afterwards, check out the beach and then have a drink and sandwich at Ventura's restaurant next... More

If you're in the area, be sure to stop to see Lucy. It's a great photo op, and the full tour is only $8.00. The tour includes a very interesting video about Lucy's history, and you get to see the inside and go to the top.

I loved seeing Lucy the Elephant when I was a kid, I loved seeing her again with my son. There is so much history involved with Lucy and absolutely fun to be able to go inside. The spiral staircases are a bit tight, but the wood work and story behind it is amazing. Plus it is a giant elephant that... More

Heard about Lucy the elephant and really wanted to see it before leaving NJ, unfortunately they are closed from Jan -Mar and so only got to take a photo from the outside. Wish it was open ... I guess next time!

I came here a couple of years ago. It was really nicely preserved and very interesting on the inside. It was really cool to be able to go to the outer top to look around Margate as well as down to Atlantic beach. The inside of Lucy is really cool and it is interesting to see the bathroom where the...
