A truly fantastic antique mall. So much to look at on three floors and items for every collecting interest. Very nice staff who patiently allowed us to look at stuff in many different dealer cases. Prices were very fair and many dealers had sales going on. Especially liked the dealers with fun collectibles, posters and pinback buttons.

Every time we visit Lambertville, our first stop is The People's Store. We love the vast variety of merchandise, from the mundane to the superb. It is not only a great shopping experience, but it is a great learning experience as well. We have purchased some wonderful treasures in this store. The staff is always friendly and helpful. This is one of our very favorite antique stores nationwide!

I visited Peoples during a recent trip to NJ. After enjoying a decent browsing experience I decided to purchase 14 pieces of glassware. There were heavy and too many to carry to our car in one trip so my husband went to get the car. The salespeople told me I had to wait outside. It was 35 degrees and raining. She actually carried my paper! bags of heavy glassware and set them outside in the rain, on the wet sidewalk. I asked her if I could wait inside while my husband got the car. She said no the store was closing. I said, can I wait until you actually leave the store so I don't have to stand out in the cold rain as long and she said no. Then I stood outside while my husband walked a few blocks to get the car while they actually walked around in the store with me standing outside. I say, with the many other antiques stores in this area, give your money to the dealers who treat their customers with decency.

I don't think I've ever reviewed a store before, but this is different. This place is like a museum with multiple floors and many rooms of different types of antiques. You could spend quite a while checking out all the items. It was quite a fun visit!

My family and I visited Lambertville, NJ on a beautiful Saturday on November 5, 2016. It was about 5:55 p.m. when we saw the store and the sign said they were open until 6:00 p.m., but there were still numerous customers in the store and we decided to go in for a few minutes to check it out.
We went inside and looked around and passed the checkout counter and people were still standing there checking out. We saw a staircase by the checkout counter that led to a lower level. We decided to check that level out, as well. Just before we proceeded to go down the stairs, we met a customer on the way up who warned us that they were closing the lower level and no sooner she said that, the lights went out and the lower level was dark. I thought it was a bit strange for a business to discourage customers when they had them in their store, but I accepted it and continued to check out the rest of the upper level. Then a man who was apparently a store representative approached us and said "You know - we are basically closing!" I told him that the store is open until 6:00 p.m. and we still have a couple of minutes left. He smirked and apparently did not know what to say, but the message was already rude and clear. We understood that we were not appreciated or respected and that we were expected to leave immediately and so we did. On the way out of the store I told my wife that it was "poor business" and we "basically" decided we will never return to that store again!

The entire store was 20% off which made the items we purchased worth it. 3 1/2 stories of antiques. Glassware. Furniture. Knick knacks. Eleanor Vorhees' studio is located on the 3rd floor. A tourist town, located close to Philadelphia, one would expect, and got, higher prices. The store was spacious. Actual room to maneuver around. Found the customer service to be professional and courteous. We walked from New Hope. They wrapped and packed our items into two bags making the trip back, in the rain, easier.

Very large antique center, however it is a high end antique center. If you are on the hunt for primitives or smalls you will not find it here. The pieces in this shop have come from all over the world are "statement makers." Sculptures, art and furniture is plentiful. Very organized and the shop keepers were friendly.

We could spend hours here. If you're into anything from the past, 5 years ago or 50 years ago, it's here. We love this place and plan on going back often as we redo our home.

I know everyone is different, how much time does it take to walk through? Is 2 hours enough? Will be in New Hope but wanted to visit this store before dinner.
