Children theatre performances
Feb 2020 • Family
I took my Trenton Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten classes to your theatre many years ago! It was my favorite children’s place to go. We would do at least two plays a year. The children enjoyed it soooo much!
Now I have two granddaughters who are theatre age (2 &4!)
and I would love to start back again to your creative kiddie shows! Do you still do children plays there during the day?
Please let me know. Sincerely, Shirley Chant

Fun night out
Sep 2016 • Couples
My wife and I went to the Off-Broad street theater in Hopewell last night to see the Marvelous Wonderettes and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This small theater is a dessert theater, where dessert is provided before the show (along with coffee) and where patrons sit in Caberet style at small tables. The performers were all college students and they did a great job singing the songs of the 50s and 60s. Since this was our era, we really enjoyed the walk down memory lane. We hope to go back for other shows as this is a wonderful place to spend an evening--the desserts were terrific also!

Always an enjoyable night

The recently renovations make this a much better venue. The fact that the restrooms are nod the ground floor is a big advantage. The seating is comfortable as you are not jammed in and there is now additional seating upstairs. We have been fortunate to see several shows here and they're have never disappointed. I also think that the cake selection for dessert is always tasty and the slices are of good portions

Charming small town theater
Aug 2016
My husband and I recently visited the Off-Broad Street Theater to see the Marvelous Wonderettes and we loved it! If you arrive early they serve you tea and dessert and you are seated at a table to enjoy the show. This is a very friendly theater and you feel at home right away. The show was very good too. They had a live band backing up 4 young ladies from Rider University who are very talented and worked well together. I love to support local theater!

Dessert Theatre
Jul 2016 • Couples
Cute local theatre. Small and intimate dessert theatre. You sit at a table and have dessert before the show. You stay seated at the table during the show. You can finish your dessert and coffee while the show is on. The shows are not Broadway, but it's still enjoyable.

That was fun!

We were looking for something to do the weekend after the holidays. Something fun, but easy. We were able to get tickets to Little Women the day before the Saturday night show. It was a very good play. The set is simple, and the theater is on the smaller side. They don't have rows of seats, but tables since this is a dessert theater. The desserts were actually quite good. We split the chocolate mouse cake and it was very rich, but delicious. They do have table service for tea, coffee, and water. It is a BYOB, which is nice! In the production that we saw, there was some great singing. We were impressed with some of the actors/actresses. Two tickets cost @$60. This was a great, unique date night! (By the way, they say that doors open at 7, but we had to wait about ten minutes. A regular told us they usually open the doors @7:10, but the line does move slow. There is no reason to get there early. They do have a table assigned to you.)

Great theatre in our little town
Aug 2014 • Couples
For an enjoyable evening out eat dinner in Hopewell Borough and then attend a performance at Broadstreet Theatre. We have gone since they started years ago and have never been disappointed. The Thicks have done a phenomenal job of bringing young, energetic and talented performers to their theatre. The deserts are excellent also.

Make time for this!
What an enjoyable time! We just saw a production of DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS and the show was delightful. Having seen it on Broadway, the bar was set high. this production did not disappoint. The talented cast was energetic and fun. They kept up with the fast pace of this show and didn't miss a note! The theater is cabaret style and the delicious dessert is included with your ticket.coffee and tea are available and the young wait staff was pleasant and attentive.Bob and Julie Thick have a great thing going OFF BROADSTREET, be sure to check it out!

delightful little theater with lots of great talent
Aug 2013 • Family
The shows are reasonably priced for such great entertainment. I used to take my daughter to the children's performances, so was pleasantly surprised to find such great talent locally.
The enthusiasm is infectious and with so many restaurants around the corner, it makes for a great evening with friends or family.

terrific local theatre
Apr 2014 • Family
This family run venue has been in Hopewell for thirty years and has consistently produced well-directed plays. Professional actors mingle with talented amateurs and they create amazing sets on a shoestring! This is a dessert theatre so come early to settle in for delicious pies, bars, cakes etc. before the performance. Take full advantage of this local, colourful gem for a great night out.
