Perhaps the time of the year or hurricane Michael passing east but very clean beach with little she'll litter. Easy on bare feet.

I generally try to avoid crowded beaches and have found the best way to do so is to visit them in the fall. Cape May beaches are great, but they are also very crowded at other seasons.

Every morning I walk along this beach after my morning runs and it's so clean and enjoyable picking up shells and sometimes ocean glass.

The beach at Cape May is very nice. The only downside, you have to cross the main road to get to the beach. All hotels are across the street. Bui, the walk isn't to bad and the beach and water is great.

Beautiful and pristine... anytime of year. The beaches are well tended and groomed every evening. The dunes are beautiful.

We love Cape May! Its a very clean beach, you have to pay to get on it, but we buy a season pass. From the beach you can see over to the Lighthouse too!

There are going to be waves on any beach on the East Coast. That is the reality of Mother Nature. But, the waves I found smaller on Sunset Beach, which is in the bay as opposed to the Coastline. Sunset Beach is in West Cape... More

The beaches do not close in the off season. They are not guarded so you are on your own for safety.
