A classic from 1932. East Lynne Theater delivers a gem of theatrical history; that is totally relevant today. Snappy direction and a spot on cast make this another ELTC hit.

For a theater company whose mission it is to stage decades-old American classics, East Lynne Theater Company never fails at finding plays with timeless and universal themes and presenting them in the most timely manner! Such is the case in this election season with their current production of Biography, a 1930s comedy about a brewing political scandal. Like many of... More

East Lynne is my favorite theatre company in Cape May. They have a mission unlike anyone else's--they do plays from America's past, or plays about America's past. BIOGRAPHY, by S.N. Behrman, is such a play---a big hit on Broadway in 1932. I read it a long time ago, but I had never seen it. The East Lynne production is wonderful.... More

Every year, we visit Cape May and take in the latest show at East Lynne Theater Company. Dracula was wonderful. Gail, the artistic director, adds her touch to every show she produces. A great time is always had by all!

This year, the difference was that before 7:30 you have to pay $10 dollars that goes to the church mission project to park. It is usually difficult to find a parking place in Cape May, we get their early have dinner then go to the play, so this year we had to either find a parking place to eat, and... More

We have enjoyed excellent performances by this professional theater for quite a few years visiting Cape May in the summer. Gail Stahlhuth, artistic director and her husband Lee O'Conner, stage director always provide excellent productions for the entire family.

Rodgers Romance is a delightful evening of fine music, sung beautifully. Add to that, a trivia contest about the origin of the songs. Tons of fun.

What a special evening. The room was filled with wonderous songs performed by four outstanding young voices. We were transported back to a different time and place. He genius of words and the voices filled not only our ears but our souls. Outstanding entertainment not to be missed

We went to see the opening of Rogers' Romance, a musical revue of the music of Richard Rodgers with Lorenz Hart as well as Oscar Hammerstein, II. We expected it to be a pleasant evening but nothing special. It turned out to be such a delightful evening we didn't want it to end. It an enjoyable and joyful celebration of... More

My husband and I began our recent winter holiday weekend in Cape May with a delightful performance of The Life and Times of Santa Claus at the East Lynne Theater. Gayle Stahlhuth's artful story-telling of L.Frank Baum's classic tale was mesmerizing. We look forward to including other East Lynne Theater productions in future visits to Cape May.
