There is so much to see at the maritime museum. It's a must! You'll be fascinated by what's all around you and you'll spend lots of time reading, viewing videos, and be in awe of the people who dive for artifacts and the shipwrecks that they undertook to find them. Amazing!

This collection of maritime artifacts is one of the finest on the eastern seaboard and highlights many of the local legends and lore surrounding the LBI area. Deb Whitcraft is a walking encyclopedia and she's actually co-written a book on the legendary Morro Castle which burned off Asbury Park taking many lives. Take time to page through the library and... My idea while staying on LBI is beach and swimming. Sometimes the weather does not cooperate. My family and I visited this museum and found it to be very interesting and enjoyable. I have gone to LBI for many years and I still learned a lot by my visit to this museum. There was a man there, that was so... More

A huge collection of maritime history, artifacts, photos, videos, research, and more. Who knew there were so many shipwrecks and other disasters in this region?! Take your time. Select an event or two to learn about each time you visit. This place is a wealth of knowledge and stories!

Great little museum with such kind and helpful docents. Only will need about an hour or so to see. Make this a stop with the kiddies .
