What a strange place to have this monument donated to America by the people of Russia. It is located at the tip of Cape Liberty next door to the cruise terminal. Perhaps the very great majority of people visiting here are cruise passengers as getting here and finding it is a trip and a half. The well known Russian artist... More

This very somber memorial is breathtaking! The names of all who were lost on 9-11 is inscribed on its base. There is also a small memorial to those of Bayonne who lost their lives in the first bombing. There is a plaque near the northern edge that shows where the towers stood. When you look at it and quickly pick... More

This listing should be renamed..tear drop memorial since otherwise hard to find . Come on..this is a great place everyone should visit. Granted the ride in is a little unsettling since WAy back on an abandoned shipping dock..but worth the ride. It is inspiring, beautiful, and should be promoted more. We as americans, all of us, will never and should... More

The pics really don't do it justice. This was a awesome memorial and surprise view of NYC. It is also where cruise boats take off from so be prepared for sitting in traffic

I was touched by this monument and what it represent. It's a hidden treasure in Bayonne. You can also see the beautiful skyline view of lower manhattan and Brooklyn from the monument

At least one New Jersey town turned down this over-sized monument, and I certainly would have been part of the group opposing it. There are very moving monuments to fire fighters who died on 9/11 in New York City and in many of the surrounding towns. This is not one of them.

This is an awesome monument with an impressive story behind it. The monument was erected as gift front he Russian government and its leader Vladmir Putin. The monument was positioned opposite the site of the World Trade Centers and honors those who fell to the terrorist on September 11, 2001. The monument is a bit tough to get to as... More

No words to describe the feelings as you look at this tear drop. A very clean area, very close to the cruise sips terminal. Nothing around to cast shadows. In a clear day you could take perfect pictures. Free parking.

Hard to find because it is tucked away. It really is a beautiful statue. It's a shame that people don't know its there. It was a gift from Russia when 6 of their own perished. It has the names of everyone who lost their lives on the sadest day of the country. Some reviews say it is ugly but I... More
