A really clean long sandy beach with great waves... bring a boogie board. Water temp changes from day to day...first day we were there was so cold it made joints ache but day two was perfect :-)

In an attempt to escape the noise and traffic of Salisbury or Hampton, then this beach fits the bill. It's not a huge beach which means it's a bit crowded. But parking is easy and the concession stand and bath house make up for that.

After driving north from Hampton Beach with not one parking space available there or on any of the beaches that we passed on the way ( it was the afternoon of a a perfect August day), my husband, grandson and I ended up on our always reliable back-up beach, Wallis Sands. NH residents who are over 65 get in free,... More

As long time summer homeowners we are so disappointed with the over priced daily access to this tiny beach which is usually filled with seaweed. Never mind the fact that there is no discount for tax paying residents. We have noticed visitor numbers dwindling ... time to make some changes.

It is a relatively small beach, but perfect for kids to boogie board. you can buy boogie board at their on site store , about $15/piece. parking fee is cash-only!

On vacation and wanted to go to the beach for the day. Hampton Beach was insane so we drove up the Coast and found this beach. Nice and clean. Seagulls were a little bold though.

So why am I here you ask. Great question. My wife loves the ocean, and she has indoctrinated all my kids. Back to Wallis Sands, as far as beaches go it is nice. Unfortunately there is a lot of sand, but I hear that is mandatory for beaches.

The State Beach is a nice sandy beach, great for families and safe for small children. It is relatively narrow and does get crowded during peak summer days. The benefit is that there are lifeguards on hand. Parking for a day will cost you $15. However, if you are over 65, it's completely free! You also have the option of... More

Before you venture out, check the tide schedule. At low tide the beach has lots of space and you can play on the rocks. My advice is to stake out a spot on the soft sand by the entrance and bring just your chairs down to the oceans edge. At high tide the beach is very small so if you... More
