I found the drive to be better because I am used to seeing sealife in the ocean. It should not be removed and boxed into small aquariums. What a shame!

The first time I went with my kids, they loved it. They spent 3 hours around each exhibit, most of which are interactive and educational. I guess the novelty had worn off the second time, they weren't very interested. I don't think we were there for a full hour. One of the staff was a little rude, so that didn't... More

After walking around the Odiorne Point National Park, my wife and I went thru the Seacoast Science Center. The senior price of admission is $8.00 and was worth it. There are several displays of early sea crafts and equipment used to explore the ocean floor and it's many sea creatures. There's also a nice history of the parcel of land,... More

We took our two grandsons to the Seacoast Science Center and we were really impressed. It is located right on the water in a state park. Great hands on and interactive exhibits, friendly staff and a wonderful volunteer who shared his collection of shark teeth with us. The boys enjoyed the Scavenger Hunt activity.

My grandkids love it here ! Lot of interesting thing for them to do . They love the dory you can pretend to fish in, the fish are painted to represent the local fish caught in the waters in the area . The touch tank is also a favorite, filled with starfish shells and the like. The staff is very... More

This is a fun and educational place for everyone with spectacular views. Inside, there are wonderful exhibits, including a couple of very rare lobsters and a touch tank. And outside...well, you never know what you're going to see. A snowy owl on one visit and a submarine being towed from the naval yard on another visit. It is especially nice... More

I easily spent three hours at this centre and enjoyed every minute. Staff are universally excellent and provided information about their expertise which seemed to be abundant. The kids who were there seemed to be having a wonderful time.

The Science Center brings together marine life from all over New England on a smaller scale than the New England Aquarium. In addition to the biology of the area, there is also some coverage of the history. The grounds are beautiful and kids will love the touch pool.

Thank you for posting a review. Our smaller size and seaside location within Odiorne Point State Park make us a favorite among families for day trips. Kids can explore and meet sea animals up-close inside then also go out to the rocky shore for tide-pooling, hike trails to see former military bunkers and play on the playground. We don't have... Although the sea life inside of the center are beautiful to look at, the center itself is very small. Can only take up about an hour's worth of time. The real adventure is going out to the beach right behind it and watch the waves hit up on the shore. It was a beautiful day for it though.

The information about deep water diving was interesting and we enjoyed the fish exhibits but the price was a bit high for the size of the science center.
