Most people I know love it here so maybe it's just me. But I find this place gross. It's too crowded on the weekends, the bands are too expensive (some are $20), service is slow and often impolite. Once, when they were staining the bar,...More

Loved this old time bar, with a great local beer selection as well as the American standards. My husband and I each had 2 beers and our tab was only $12. Apparently they have a Saturday happy hour. What a find!

An unexpected surprise at the Press Room. Ate at the bar and I had a fantastic burger and my wife said her salad was great. Didn't have any expectations coming in but left very happy! Keep up the good work

Little gem we walked into with a decent selection of craft beer, food and drinks. Great chicken wings, lobster salad, and almost any other item you may desire. Bar atmosphere, so I wouldn't bring kids, maybe in the afternoon hours, but not after 7 p.m....More

We went here with some friends while the decks where crowded. The service was poor and drinks really weak for the high price. No bar food either as the menu is for the restaurant upstairs and is kinda fancy. Plus side is love music, but...More

Not our typical hangout but they had a group there we wanted to check out. Creaky, dark, dank place...some people like that but...given the age of the building that's what you get. Liked the oriental rugs hanging on the wall for acoustic and deco. The...More

Had been a few years since I had been to Portsmouth and this overnight trip was for business. Our small group of four chose Press Room for dinner. Three of us had steak tips and one had fish and chips. Other than the fact that...More
