Take a break from food and shopping for a stroll through some beautiful gardens by the sea. The perennials are combined with annual plantings. The riot of color is "eye candy." The pathway meanders along near fountains and lovely trees. There are some benches for...More

This is an area of Portsmouth steeped with history. The gardens are lovely and well kept. Many plants have labels which is great if you'd like to see if you can grow these yourself at home in your own garden. I love the view of...More

A picnic spot that comes with good views of the harbor. Take a break under a tree and then stroll through the flowers.

Beautiful Gardens everywhere. There was a free concert and play of Mary Popins which was a cute thing for the kids. View of the wharf. Nice place for a walk.

My favorite time to visit is early morning. If you're lucky you can get there when they are misting the gardens and the resulting photos are beautiful!

Pretty much a small park on the water. Nothing really too special. There are a few benches if you want to sit and chat or eat something.

No, but there are 8 dog parks in Portsmouth. For a tiny town, that's a lot. It's a great city for dogs. Large and small, you see them everywhere, and many shops put out water bowls to welcome them.
