We visited three period homes in Portsmouth in one day. We did not enjoy this house, perhaps because we had come from a house with interesting and original furnishings, which helped to tell the story of the house. The Langdon house architecture is impressive, both...More

Not my favorite tour of Portsmouth homes, but our tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable. It is worth the visit, IMO.We did not get to see the gardens as there was a wedding when we were there.

We enjoy touring old homes from all periods. This was a very interesting one, at all levels from the information about the residents and their servants to the kitchen and the gardens and the proximity to downtown.
