Great food and fun atmosphere

Stopped in for lunch and really enjoyed the meal. We started with the nachos. They were cooked perfectly, crispy and not too greasy. Lots of toppings and a nice portion. I ordered... read more

What an awesome place to take in a brew tour, sample a great variety of beers, enjoy some unique and tasty food and with great service. The bartender Nicolas was great and patient with all our questions. It was a busy President's day, but he always checked on us and had time for some small talk. We will definitely be... More

They've done an excellent job with this place. Reminds me of the nice west coast brew pubs. Atmosphere, service, beer, food... all were excellent. Try the ESB draft and nachos. Very family friendly as well.

Stopped in for lunch and really enjoyed the meal. We started with the nachos. They were cooked perfectly, crispy and not too greasy. Lots of toppings and a nice portion. I ordered the charred chicken pita. It was really good - all of the flavors went well together and the bread was warm and soft. The chicken was perfectly cooked... More

While visiting Portsmouth on a business trip, the client took our group over to the Redhook for lunch. The menu offers a variety of sandwiches and entrees, I had the fish tacos. The food came out hot and fresh, portions are small to medium. I was surprised there was no side served with the dish. The waiter didn't offer a... More

We attended a wedding reception here and were pleasantly surprised with the food. I had heard their function catering was sub-par, but we found the food to be very good. Everything was cooked properly, served hot, and overall it was delicious. My only complaint was not being able to take our beverage out to the reception from the bar. I'm... More

Last weekend My husband and I had our wedding at Redhook Brewery. It was such a fun and unique venue! We had been planning with Ryan for just over a year and everything we talked about came to lofe in the Ale Makers Hall. We were supposed to have the wedding outside but it was down pouring! They had a... More

We have stopped here for lunch a few time while we are in the Portsmouth area. Every time we have found the food to be good. I got the fish tacos on this last visit and found them to be excellent. I will say they were busy but the wait wasn't bad and the food came pretty quickly. The only... More

In the area on a rainy day. We went on the tour. It was just my husband and I with the tour guide. The day we were there they were having issues with the bottling equipment. It was about a 30 minute tour and cost $5 per person. You get an over sized pint glass to keep post your tasting... More

We stopped here for a quick bite and ate at the bar. It's a busy place, of course, because of the brewery tours. Loud -- terrible acoustics. The chili was good. The beer was good, it's what they do. Just too frenetic, like taking a kid to Chucky Cheese. Average food.

My wife and I went to the Red Hook Brewery when our hotel suggested it. We had time for a snack before the tour and were seated by a most polite and helpful hostess. She informed our waiter we had to hurry to make the tour and ha rushed our order and served me a cold adult beverage. We left... More
