Beautiful shops, restaurants, and pubs. An old nostalgic scenic town with lots of old and charismatic charm. Lots to see and all with walking distance from the water to the brick pavers. Parking is all paid during day and early evening hours. First time here...More

Coffee places open at 7 am during week, 7:30 on Sunday. Stores usually open by 10 am, or earlier. So have a cup and a goodie, sit and enjoy the square, and watch the people. More to life than shopping.

We stayed at an Air BnB apartment--less money for room than a hotel, and plenty of privacy. Wherever you end up staying, Portsmouth is a plesant place to visit.
