This island has the history of great fishing pirates murder and great artists. Try the pump organ at the church and the ice cream parlor.

This iconic island stay was fabulous. Accommodations are not modern or deluxe, but the atmosphere is timeless and the island is magical. Don't miss your chance if you ever are invited to an event there, or even to walk around on a day tour.

This is a great activity to do with your family when visiting the sea coast NH area. Tales of love, hauntings and historical drama engage the mind and imagination while your senses feasts on the sights and sounds of the area.

I had never seen the Isles of Shoals before except from the beach on very clear days. My husband and I took a helicopter ride over them through Seacoast Helicopters out of Portsmouth, NH (see my review under their company). This was by far the best way to see them!

Just my observation, I would not take children out to the Shoals. This is a pleasurable afternoon, with good weather for couples. There is nothing to do when one goes to the Isle of Shoals other than enjoy the ride and walk around the island. I enjoyed the trip as did my wife, but we are 62 and enjoy simple... More

We took the Thomas Laighton out to the island and stayed there for 3-4 hours just roaming the island, took a picnic lunch and browsed through some of the buildings - interesting history.

I have lived in NH for 30 yrs and never took this tour until last week. Lovely little boat ride out to Star Island where you can take a walking tour and then explore yourself. The views on the boat and the island are fabulous!! You see forts and lighthouses as you travel to the island. The Captain narrates and... More
