We like to get away to Pittsburg whenever we can. Theses something calming about the quiet seclusion. We hiked Magalloway Mountain and Garfield Falls on the same day. It's quite a drive down an old logging dirt road for about 12 miles. It's about a 10 minute hike. All downhill to get to the falls but remember, on the way... More

It's a short walk through the woods, a bit hilly on your way out but very much a doable hike at some places there are steps and you can always take a break. Some people actually swim in the pool. It's a beautiful waterfall to see with a nice ride to get here. But...what else are you going to do... More

A bit difficult to find but well worth it. From the main road look for the wooden sign that says Garfield falls (about 10 miles in) and continue down that road. And actually our GPS said Garfield falls road. So follow that road and a sign on the left will say welcome to Garfield falls, follow the trail to the... More

Nice little stop while traveling to or from Pittsburg. They have picnic tables and bathrooms. The falls are lovely especially after a rain!

the trail head is 11 Miles down an old logging road... so the ride out can be tough on the vehicle... But it is worth it! The trail head has bathroom facilities- which was a surprise - and the hike itself is a quick jaunt down a path (it gets a little steep at as you near the falls) but... More

The falls were really pretty to see up-close. It's a short and easy hike to get there, with pretty views. It is a little bit of a lengthy drive to get all the way out there (12 miles out on dirt roads) but it was a nice place to visit while staying in Pittsburg.

Garfield falls is a majestic spot, an easy hike in leads you to the falls and stream, if the falls are not running high it offers great little swimming holes and just down stream you c.an find little areas to lay in the river and let the water run over you, very peaceful

It is a 12 mile ride out on logging roads to Garfield Falls. Drive slowly so you don't kick up so much dust...enjoy the beautiful ride! Move over for logging/working trucks; they have the right of way. The trail down to the falls is very well trodden, and a bit slippery after rain. There are steps in the few steep... More

Depending on the time of year as well as the supply of water these falls make for a short hike and a nice place for your lunch.
