Fantastic drive to the summit with great views and lots of photo opportunities on the way. The discovery centre at the top is also worth the visit, lots to see about the extreme weather and fascinating recordings of what they had to do to record the highest wind speed ever measured. Go prepared though it was seriously cold when we... More

If you love weather.... Then this is a must. Amazing to see what the meteorologists have to tolerate at the top of the mountain

For the membership, you not only get the satisfaction that your money is going towards helping them maintain the observatory, and pay the staff, but also so many added perks. I love that I can go and visit the Observatory how many ever time I want, and steep discounts on trips, and stays that the observatory organizes. Who would not... More

We were one of the fortunate ones to take the Cog railway to the top on one of the few completely clear and warm days in July! It truly is breathtaking!

We finally made it to the discovery center. We found it very interesting and the history of My Washington with the world's wildest weather is really intriguing. I would definitely visit next time you are in North Conway.

This is one of the best things to see up here - second only to the amazing views from the top of the mountain. The museum is an absolute must - even your video game playing kids will find SOMETHING of interest here.

Our group consisted of 7 adults, and 5 kids ranging from 9 to 3. We all enjoyed our visit. It was very educational, and had lots of hands-on exhibits to keep the kids happy. The highlight was the live chat with the observer on the top of My. Washington!

Drive slow and take in all the sights or take the Cog Railroad up. Make sure to go on a warm day but still bring a jacket or sweater as it stays cool and windy. Make sure to enjoy the weather exhibit. There is are a couple of gift ships, we bought to jackets, and a cafeteria style eating area.

We had a perfect trip to the observatory last weekend. I was concerned that by the end of March, that it wouldn't be true "winter." I had no need to be concerned. There was still plenty of cold air and wind for all! During our comfortable snow-cat transportation, the winds were light. We traveled through the clouds to enjoy undercast... More
