Coming up in July and would like to know if water levels are normal in summer or if we will be dragging the bottom of our kayaks. This sounds like something great to do .

I think it really depends on the rain. We were there in July. Some places were low (we were in tubes), but we still had a great time. Had to do a lot of paddling because the river was moving slowly.
