This was my second trip with my granddaughter. She loves this train ride. It leaves the station at 11 AM and friends at 4 PM. The trip is 2 hours north to the Crawford Notch location where it stops for one hour where you can shop for a souvenir or visit the Appalachian Mountain Club Highland Center. The ends with... More

North Conway, NH is worth visiting just for the scenery and the trip to it. But if you enjoy railroads, you will love this trip. From the restored depot to the restored engines and cars, the thrill of the ride is so enjoyable. You see a lot of beautiful scenery on the way up the valley. So worth the money... More

There is nothing scenic or exciting about this loud, bumpy and dirty train ride. You travel to Conway in one direction and come back the exact same way. For $50.00 for 2 adults and one child, I expected much more. It was terribly boring and left us feeling ashamed for falling for the hype of this tourist trap.

As always, we're sorry when someone is disappointed with one of the excursions here. All of our routes are round-trip, and, yes, the North Conway area has seen significant development in the 41 years since Conway Scenic opened. We promote an old-fashioned railroading experience where our guests travel in vintage coaches (dating back to the 1920s in the case of... More

Agree completely with the reviewer below. Very disappointed in scenery. We did the Bartlett train ..hour and 45 minutes. The open car with breeze was nice and relaxing but aside from a few views of the river, it was all trees and backs of houses. Was hoping for better but the ride was relaxing at least.

We took a trip on the Hattie Evans lunch train through the notch. It was quite pricey so figured we would see amazing scenery while going through the mountains..what a disappointment! Mostly saw backs of people's yards..only time in the mountains were the same places we could see from the road in our car. I would suggest sightseeing by car... More

Such a beautiful railroad and railroad station - it is as if time hasn't changed. Beautifully surrounded by gorgeous mountains and small shops. We visited for the special Thomas the Train event. It was a quick 25 minute train ride with either Thomas or Percy, or both. Many other activities for the kids to enjoy. The staff was great and... More

We did the short ride (55 mins) with the family and everyone enjoyed it. As far as scenery goes, I'm sure the longer rides offer better views but for small kids this one was just right. We did get the opportunity to hop off and watch them disconnect the engine and switch to the other side which was nice. The... More

Spent a long weekend with family and friends at a condo in North Conway. This is a great town with local shops and dining. We decided to take a ride on the Conway Scenic Train. Price was spot on for 1 hour train ride - 30 minutes pulling away from the station w/ narrative on the history of the railway... More

A group of us opted for the 1-1/2 hour ride. We enjoyed the first class car with very comfortable individual chairs. The scenery is beautiful between the mountains and river. It was great to get off the train and watch them turn it around. They do sell snacks and drinks. I would recommend this for anyone who enjoys old trains... More
