It was an excellent meal with a great staff. Unfortunately it was not a great foliage year but it was still a nice ride. If you are looking for a classic train ride this is a great opportunity.

We were a large group that took this tour. Amongst ourselves we had a blast but the train was a bit disappointing. We knew it wasn’t a fancy experience and that was just fine with us but the whole experience is a tad over rated....More

Spending a beautiful fall weekend in the area. Found an add for the train ride at our hotel. Reasonably priced. Beautiful views. All staff were wonderful. Train was enclosed for a windy day but windows also opened if needed. Enjoyed the rude and the views.

We opted for the one hour trip since we had a 2 and 4 year old along; two hours would have been too much. We saw a different perspective of the area and the little ones got to ride the train. Thankfully the staff brought...More

We had a wonderful time on the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad with a delicious Turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Just like Thanksgiving. The food was great and the people that served the dinner did an excellent job. I would recommend this trip.

We took the 2 hour ride out of Weir’s Beach, in a fairly empty car and had a good time. My friends enjoyed the pre-prepared sandwich that was on the menu (cash only while aboard)(and no bar car). The train does rock a bit and...More

The train ride was enjoyable. We probably would have done better with an hour trip versus the two hour version. I imagine that this would be exceptionally beautiful in the fall.

This train ride takes you along the shore of Lake Winnipesauskee and ends at the dock for the MS Washington. The train ride is relaxing and provides an opportunity to see many of the lakefront properties. You can combine it with a Lake Winnipesaukee cruise.

Best to check the website. You will see the schedule when you look for tickets, the train runs mostly on weekends in the fall. Looks like there are 3 options for excursions.

I think shortest is two hours, but do a search for the "Hobo Railroad" and then navigate to the Winnipesaukee RR from there. (same owners)
