Was driving through the area and stopped by the lake to photograph. The water sparkled like blue diamonds, and the autumn colors were peaking. Clean, uncrowded, and the perfect place to listed to the sounds of nature

I believe it is one of the top 5 cleanest/clearest lakes in the US. Boating and kayaking is a must do. I went here for Camp Berea Woman's Retreat a few years ago.

The cleanest and most tranquil lake in New England. Though it is not as marketed as other lakes, that's what makes it so special. With almost no commotion, lots of beachfront and clean, deep water, there is no rival body of water.

We put in our kayaks at the state park and paddled 3 miles down the lake. This lake is beautifully situated under the mountains. The water is clean and clear and the loons are beautiful. We are seriously thinking of buying a lake house here!

A favorite of ours. Love the Ledge Water Steakhouse and Inn at Newfound Lake. Hiking at Cardigan Mountain. Visit Spectacle Pond, too!

This is truly a beautiful lake! I much prefer the mountains, but this lake will grow on anyone. The entire volume of water turs over three or four times per year making it very clean. Fortunately for us, we now live onlt ten minutes away!...More
