Not a good experience…. After spending $275 for my family to take this tour we were left extremely disappointed. It was a beautiful, clear day but very cold, somewhat windy. The tours were going as scheduled. at about 3,600 feet the coach pulled off to the side and started turning around and said it had reached the top of the tour. We weren’t even out of the trees at all and really had no views. A ton of money for a shortened tour, no communication up front that it wasn’t a full tour. I get things happen but some kind of discount or up front expectation would be fair.

This was the 2nd year in a row that we took the snow coach up and snowshoed down. Ride up was great, drivers were very knowledgeable and engaging, and our safety on our walk down was their #1 concern. We'll be back next year!!

Arrived promptly for our 0900 ride up the mountain. Our coach had 8 passengers. Guide Kevin very knowledgable about the mountain & road. Unfortunately foggy and difficulty seeing. The weather at mid=mountain very windy & cold. A diffrent view of the mountain than riding in a car or up the cog railroad.

Had a great time! Everyone is so nice and helpful. Our Snow coach driver Mark was very informative on the way up Mt. Washington and a great driver. Stayed at The Glen House which was fantastic and has the greatest employees through out their business. The rates were very reasonable and the food at their restaurant was fantastic. Looking forward to going back next year.

Matt took us in a snow coach ride up my Washington. The wind was too severe for us to drive to the usual height so we parked and Matt lead us up the mountain by foot and took photos for us. Highly recommend this trip!

We drove over an hour across NH to find some snow to cross country ski over MLK weekend. No snow where we rented our cabin. True to their website conditions update, we found some great conditions at Great Glen Trails. Despite the rain 2 days earlier, we found some really great gliding snow and wide trails to ski over. Crowded only near the lodge and tubing hill, but after skiing out a bit, we had the trails to ourselves. We made it out to the warming hut, but not much there, so turned back towards the lodge. Great view of the surrounding mountains. Spectacular job grooming the trails! Prices were comparable to most other places. Wish that the small restaurant was open in the center lodge. There is a restaurant in the hotel across the street, but was looking for just some simple sandwiches or soup. I would definitely go back again, but would bring a lunch next time. Since we were hungry after skiing, we stopped at Big Day Brewery about 10 minutes north. It was a good find with a fun atmosphere, yummy beef stew, and live music.
A stellar day overall!

What a ride! My friend and I, Matt Brown, drove up from Epsom NH on 1/22/23 for a snow coach ride. Our driver, Bruce, was the greatest! His knowledge of the history of the road and weather conditions was excellent. That and his friendly “quiz” made this a ride to remember. I’m going back in 2 weeks with another friend and I’m telling everyone I know. Thanks! Kevin McNeff

Competent, understanding staff who helped us when we had a pickle. The lodge is gorgeous, and the driver/guide was knowledgeable and friendly! We only wished there was opportunity to stay longer and catch a different coach down because it was so very incredible, 20 minutes at the top didn’t seem like nearly long enough!

My wife and I took the Cat to 4200' and snowshoed down yesterday. Our driver/guide was highly skilled and was an excellent storyteller. Both drivers checked on us during our descent and were genuinely interested in our well being, seeing the snow had turned to sleet and rain. We had a great experience at Great Glen! It's a wonderful locale for winter fun.

I was really looking forward to renting a bike at the outdoor center and checking out the trails.
I have been snowshoeing here before and had a blast!
I will be in NH from Oct 26th to the 29th. But the outdoor center closes on the 21st! Why is this?! Does anyone have any suggestions of similar places where I could rent a bike and enjoy easy to navigate trails?
Thanks for any feedback!

That time of year you are welcome to walk our trails but the bike rentals are shut down in order to prep the building for winter use.

Could the animal scavenger hunt be done on foot by kids? In other words how widespread are the stations where the kids get their stamps? We are planning a July visit and not all of the kids in our group like to bike.

Yes. Absolutely. The stations are spread out over the trail system; only on the carriage roads an not on the single track bike trails. They are very visible and fun to find. Walking is always free on the trails and if you are lucky you could see the live wildlife that call Great Glen home.
