This is a beautiful scenic trail and the gorge is breathtaking. We were there when the fall foliage was peaking and it was a delightful experience. It does involve a lot of walking and climbing stairs and walking up and down the slope..we loved it.

Due to dry summer and being fall most falls had little flow. The Flume was better than most. A good walk - about 2 miles. Well worth the exercise

We went in the fall and the views were very pretty. Lots of hiking to be had, easy trails. Well worth the trip.

A walk to and around Flume Gorge is ideal if you want to get some exercise on holiday and also admire the forces of nature at work. You can get the best experience if you go for the full walk into the gorge, but shorter walks are available and you can use the shuttle bus if you don't want to... More

We were on the way to Lincoln and decided to go to flume gorge on the way , especially as it had started snowing and thought this might add to it. Entrance fee is about $17 if I remember correctly , you get a small bus trip to start you on your way over the bridge. You follow the trail... More

This was a great afternoon trip for us. They warn you about the incline and the fact that there are a lot of stairs, and they do not give refunds. So, as long as you're fit and can walk a few miles, you'll be fine. If you have strollers/wheelchairs, etc, I probably would not recommend it. But we had a... More

My husband and I visited the Flume Gorge in October. The colors of the trees added to the beauty of this place! The gorge itself is amazing. If you like nature you won't be disappointed! There are a lot of stairs but they are an easy climb (said the 56 year old) and some of the up hill journey is... More

The gorge is pretty, but not particularly exciting. There are other things to see, such as the covered bridges and the big pool, all in a small area accessible to the majority of people who may not wish to hike. Overall it seems expensive when there are so many other areas to see for free. It is also very busy,... More

It just doesn't look like this in the Fall. They have a bus that goes up and back to the Flume, or most of the way. We however chose to hike up and back. Why did we have to pay the same price?
