I recommend taking an hour to park and walk down to the Old Man Profile Plaza to view the "Old Man." This is an awesome tribute to the historic cliff face, recreating the appearance of what used to be. Very serene setting. Enjoyable.

Saw this several times as a kid, parents loved New Hampshire. When the rocks fell in 2003 the resourceful new englanders came up with a fix; make sure you stop and see it; you can still 'see' the Old Man of the Mountain!

Sad my daughter would never get a chance to see the real thing but it was nice place to visit and show her what once was the old Man in the mountain.

Nice park. Not much there besides looking at the no man mountain. There are "profile" poles that show what it looked like.

This was a really interesting stop. The hike is nice and the history behind it is soo interesting. We really enjoyed this and how much effort was put into preserving the memory of the old man. Would have been amazing to see in person

This is next to the Cannon Aerial Tramway. A 15 minute stroll takes you to a small plaza where poles have been erected which allows you to view the Old Man as he would have been. Sounds odd, but tastefully done.

Since this is a free site, the short walk is really pretty with nice views of the lake and mountains. Don't be fooled, the strong profile is gone. They've created an optical illusion viewing system to give you and idea what it would have looked like. It works for the most part. The history of the rock formation is interesting... More

As a NH native, I grew up with the "Old Man" as a symbol of our state. Although it has been 13 years since he fell to the ground, this was my first visit to the viewing site, and I was pleased at what a nice tribute it is. We stopped here on Monday heading south from an event in... More

My sister and son and I stopped here on our drive through the park. What a great way to memorialize the Old Man of the mountain. I am so glad that they have done this. I used to come up here with my parents and I was grateful to be able to show my son what it used to look... More
