The John Hatch Park is alongside the Wiswall Dam and Wiswall Falls Historic Site. It has hiking trails and places to fish.
My visit to his park was in conjunction with seeing the dam, fish ladder, and historic site. I got in a good trek through wooded areas and a couple open fields near the river on a pleasant day.
There were a lot of other people out trekking. This was during the COVID-19 time so many people had some leisure time.
On the trail along the river, I met a group of fellows who were returning from a few hours of fishing. And, when I was near the end of the trail going back, I met up with two more fellows who were headed out for some mid-afternoon fishing hoping to catch bass, pickerel, or perch. This is a popular fishing spot.
Since this is a place to take in four attractions in one stop with an opportunity for some outdoor exercise, I rate it quite highly at 4.75 and recommend a visit.

A magical hidden gem, tucked away from the main road in Newmarket, is what you will find here. On the site of a former mill, this three acre park as some interesting history and is like stepping into a Bob Ross painting.
As someone with an interest in birding, I was taken in with the sights and sounds of many birds and even saw a few red breasted nut hatches creeping down the trees!
