Hard Time at the Hard Rock
Aug 2021
What a disappointment. Hard to believe that Hard Rock lends it's name to this place. It was dirty. There were no services. There is no store to buy food other than a dirty cafe that was hard to get seating in as they always seemed to be changing shifts and your wait time was always 30 minutes or more even if there were plenty of tables. The room has no drawers to put anything. We were there for a 5 day stay and wanted to unpack. There are no amenities. There was no house keeping. We had to ask for towels and wash cloths daily. They never picked up our used towel pile. We had to call to get the trash taken out every other day. The shower would not stay at temperature, so you were either freezing or frying. I could go on but why? You get the picture. It was just plain dirty and service was awful.

Old and poorly maintained
Jul 2021
Did not stay in hotel so can not comment on it. This was supposed to have undergone 60 million in renovations and reopened in 2015? Maybe the hotel? The casino was smallish, had worn flooring, bathrooms in need of maintainance, missing baseboard, etc. We ate at the Alpine room before attending a magic show. Resaurant rather poor. Show was good, kids loved it. Set up was in a small theater with folding chairs.... ?? Not impressed with this place.

Casino was fine, Store Not so much!
The Hard Rock Casino was fine with adequate slot machines. We did not stay at the hotel. The Rock shop is disappointing at best. Jirath provided the best customer service that he could. For Hard Rock Collectors the selection is dismal. Plus the store does not track rewards or accept the AAA discount. One has to wonder if the store was an after thought.
We were in Lake Tahoe previously when The Hard Rock Cafe was in Harvey's and it was much better. While the casino is fine, the store is not.

I would not stay here again.

Check in was easy. We had a fabulous view. But we tried to get extra blankets three times from housekeeping and that never happened they said they didn’t have any. At 12:30 in the night we called the front desk because the air-conditioning was blowing heat and it was 82° in our room and we were told the air-conditioning doesn’t work when the temperature outside drops below 45°. So We tried to get a fan because the air-conditioning doesn’t work and they said they were out of them. They told us to open the window which we have three small children with us on the ninth floor I don’t think it’s very safe, and no screen on the window. Then the light shined in at 6am Because we cant shut the drapes with the window open so no sleep after 6 AM. Pool is not heated so makes sure it’s a hot day out. Elevator shook one time on us, scared the kids. Casino gambling was so hot it was unbearable.

Not The Hard Rock Hotel Experience We Expected
Jun 2021 • Couples
No hotel room amenities.(mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, disposable cups etc) I am glad I downgraded from a spa suite ($499/night) to a Lakeview room($199/night). And even then, the only 2 good things about our room was the balcony and the bed. My wife thought it was too soft, however I like a softer bed. I had to call and have 4 more pillows brought to my room. Also had an ironing board, but no iron.
Since there was no fridge, I had to use the ice bucket and 1 of the extra garbage cans in the room filled with Ice and put my drinks in those. They want to charge $4 for a bottle of water, but not have a fridge to put them in to keep them cold.
The bedside lamps barely worked and the desk lamp did not work at all. The light as you enter the room and the balcony light did not work.
I also think the battery for the door lock was dead because I had to swipe my card over it 3-4 times before it would unlock.
We were gonna go to the Alpine restaurant at 11 a.m. for breakfast, stood at the front waiting to be seated for like 5 minutes. There were others that were either seated and eating or had just been seated. (Maybe 4 tables total)
3 guys were there just staring at us and didn't say a word. Not even "be with you shortly" or "be right with you" We said screw it and went to McDonald's

I will not recommend this hotel to anyone nor will I be back in the future.

Great service, friendly staff, good food. Too many dogs!
May 2021
We did not stay at their hotel but did drink, eat and gamble there. All of the staff were extremely friendly and nice. The premises were clean and were being sanitized often. The food was reasonable and very good. The only drawback was that they allowed dogs and many were obviously not service dogs. I was sitting at a gaming table and right next to me was a man with a large pit bull that was barking at everyone that went by. The man sat there for over 4 hours and not one member of the staff asked him to leave. Whenever someone walked by with another dog the dog would go into a barking fit. I felt sorry for the dog.

First time at a casino
May 2021
Me and my husband always ended up back here after visiting the other casinos. Sure it smells like cigarettes but if you can get passed that then its FUN! We really enjoyed it. Did not stay at the hotel so cannot comment on that.

Quiet on a Weekday
Apr 2021
There were very few people around when I walked through at lunch time on a week day. Only a few tables were open, so it was a little sad. But it was clean and well-maintained.
