Is it haunted? Probably. Lots of history in these walls. Its neat to walk around and see the murals and the architecture. I love walking in this old building and feel its heart.

If you love old buildings and wonderful architecture, then the Washoe County Courthouse is one that you need to see. Like so many that were built in the days that didn't have modern equipment, it makes you think about how it could have been done....More

Hey really nice old building. It's well-kept and looks great. They've kept up on it really nicely. Worth a look. Just south of the river.

This is a very beautiful courthouse. Lots of history right in one building such as all the divorces that were filed in the 1900s!

The building used to also house the County Clerk, but they moved out a couple years back to the County administrative Building. It was famous for getting marriage licenses - especially on Feb 14th. security is pretty high, as it IS a court house.

Yes you can just walk by the front and appreciate the architecture. This was the backdrop for The Misfits with Clarke Gable, Montgomery Clift, Marilyn Monroe and more. Use the side entrance to go inside. It's worth it.
