Animal Ark is a well thought-out educational experience for people and a welcoming home for the rescued animals who call it home. Be prepared with walking shoes, unless you're going to rent a golf cart, to move along the paths between the enclosures. And bring...More

This rather small but well-designed zoo has a surprisingly good collection of various "rescued" wildlife. We particularly enjoyed the Cheetah display, The cheetahs accompany people intermittently on jogging adventures outside their enclosure--only for people who sign up for the experience do this. A great spot to see some rare rescued animals. The staff is very friendly and the location is beautiful. Get there when it opens to avoid the heat and see the animals when they are the most active.

This place is located outside of Reno. We enjoyed our visit here at this Wildlife Sanctuary. Saw some Tortoises, Cheetahs and Bears. Also a good range of native trees and vegetation.

loved the little drive up to the ark. The staff are amazing and very helpful. It is a nice sanctuary for the animals and we appreciated that they weren't caged into a small area. They roam around happily in bigger enclosures. The baby tiger is...More

The picnic area does have some shade. Definitely bring a hat and some water. I believe there was air in the main building. The entire property is solar operated.

Hi, Unfortunately Public Transportation does not come this far. Probably Uber may be your best bet. We have heard it is less expensive than a taxi....
