The Originial. Still the Best. Join us every third Saturday of the month from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., the Riverwalk Merchants host the popular Wine Walk along the Truckee River and neighboring streets. Here's How it Works: Visit any Riverwalk District merchant on WIne Walk day to get a map of participating Wine Walk merchants. Go to the participating merchant of your choice, and, for a $20 wine-tasting fee and valid photo ID, you’ll receive a wine glass and an ID bracelet that allows you to sample wine at any participating merchant.

Planned to attend this event far in advance of a trip to visit my best friend thinking it would be a great way to see downtown Reno and enjoy some wine. I was wrong. While it's a great way to learn about some of the retail shops and local attractions, it is by no means a "wine" event. I recommend... More

My husband and I love wine, so we love wine walks...but this is not a walk for wine lovers. The best wine was at the Siena hotel, BV Pinot Noir, if that gives you an idea. It went downhill from there. I think a better name for this would be "Socializing Marketing Walk." We found the quality of the wine... More

My husband and I were not impressed with the River Walk. Not much to see or do. Very disappointed. We also went to the National Automobile Museum and we really enjoyed that. There is a $10 admission fee, but well worth it. The museum holds a vast assortment of vehicles from early 1900's. There was so many beautiful cars.

We caught this event quite by accident. A great way to support charities as well as see 15 or so bars and eateries near the Truckee. Don't expect high dollar wines, just go for the fun and to meet people. Note to single guys ... the mail to female ratio is 1 to 4.

The Reno Riverwalk, as well as lovely new pubs, cheese stores, antique shops, and other attractive establishments, now pepper the once dowdy Reno downtown area. I was so pleasantly surprised when I visited friends in Reno recently and was introduced to these lovely additions. Don't miss Junkee Antiques and Clothing Store. They have literally 1000's of items, from jewelry to... More

Walking and wine doesn't get much better than that! Not the best wines but we were just having a good time.

If you are stuck in Reno during one of these events you might as well go down to walk around, but if you love good wine don't worry about buying a glass just walk around the local stores and mingle.

Great to get out in the fresh air. Beautiful Truckee river, music at a a venue they have there. Nice places to stop at, shop or get a drink or eat. I noticed some people that I was sure to steer clear of. Would not recommend walking at night at this point in time. But felt safe really in daytime.

We literally stepped off the plane, dropped off our bags, and joined the third Saturday Wine Walk. It was so much fun! For $20 you receive a wine glass and map of all the establishments that participate. Most are restaurants or bars but a couple of businesses are part of it as well. Wine choices range from low to high... More
