Its really nice downtown, with bars and restaurants and Wingfield park, but if you go beyond Keystone West or Lake Street East, it starts getting sketchy fast. I'm a bog guy and don't feel particularly threatened, but I feel like I'm running through some poo...More

The Truckee River is a wild and scenice oasis in downtown Reno. The city has really embraced the river and employs it as a centerpiece for many events. The river winds through many parts of Reno and offers a respite, especially in the dog days...More

The history of Reno and the story of the Truckee River are captured beautifully with placards along this paved walk. Even in early winter, the Rotary Sculpture Park and other alcoves along the way are interesting and quite lovely. Be prepared for the presence of...More

The trees were turning, the river running along beside us and enjoyed being outside, especially after 8 hours of driving. Great stop before dinner.

This is a gorgeous easy walk. You hardly know you are in a city. Would highly recommend if you are in the area.

Went here for a walk when we were in Reno. Good choice...lost of nice trail walking along the river. Would recommend you go away from downtown area though as there are many homeless folk lounging/hanging out on the trail near downtown.

I highly suggest taking a walk at Wingfield Parks or Idalwild Park. Both family oriented and beautiful year round.

We stayed in Reno for three nights and decided to follow this trail along the Truckee River Walk. We were surprised it was not more crowded on a Saturday. We walked for about an hour one way into downtown Reno and then about another hour...More
