Very peaceful walk

I loved walking along the river. It was very peaceful. There were a few fun places to stop and play with the kids. We all enjoyed it. Can"t wait to go back.

I have to congratulate Reno on the way they made the most of the Truckee River that runs through town (bringing down snow melt from the Sierra Nevada Mountains and Lake Tahoe water) with this very pleasant pedestrian walk. Restaurants and shops have grown up alongside it; in hot weather you'll see local kids and some of their parents frolicking... More

I am always amazed by nature especially when I see a spring in the desert. Water flowing through the desert on a regular basis is truly amazing, especially when you see folks kayaking and paddle boarding on it during thr\e recent floods! Crazy.

Good for Reno, in the middle of Downtown on both sides of the river you can walk and enjoy the great out doors, restaurant's and entertainment.

The Truckee River runs through downtown Reno. Lots of people come to Reno for the gambling, and are probably unaware of the beautiful Truckee River which runs right through the heart of downtown. Along the river is the wonderfully maintained River Walk. You can literally walk for miles up and down the river on a well-maintained sidewalk which borders parks... More

We started walking at a great park with a table for eating our picnic. The path meanders through some really cool private residences. Highly recommend!

This walk has improved over the years. It is fantastic in the Fall October and early November. Start in the city and enjoy the beauty of the river. Note : Start around noon and finish before dark. Lots of homeless in the city part of the river walk.

I loved running on the Truckee. It's beautiful and scenic. I got 6 miles out of it from our downtown hotel. It's fairly flat and well marked. Meanders with the river.
