Walked from the El Dorado down to the River Walk and walked along the river. Stopped at a tap house and enjoyed a beer and then continued the walk. Very easy walk and loved being on the river.

It's kind of nice to be able to walk along a little river with a few class 1 rapids here and there running through downtown, but it's hemmed in by 12 foot flood walls and there's nothing particularly notable about it. There are some city...More

Outdoor beauty with the river flowing and large pines. Enjoy the rapids and wind as it blows thru the pines. It's a beautiful walk with very friendly people along the walkway.

My wife and I really enjoyed our walk along the Truckee River here in Reno during the first week of April! This was our first visit to Reno, and we were surprised how high the water level reached...Wow! Gorgeous!

The river and mountains are beautiful! There were lots, and I mean lots, of homeless people. There were people yelling and crying and sleeping in the grass. Very little police presence, we didn't stay long!

It's one of the most beautiful rivers in California/Nevada. Great way to walk, jog or ride a bike along the river. The gorgeous greens and blues of the water combined with beautiful trees is amazing and tranquil.

We walked around during a wine afternoon and evening event. There were lots of drunk people and we watched a guy throw up in the doorway of some poor person's business. There was not much to enjoy except the river. It might be nicer in...More

This is a wonderful place to take an afternoon walk. Nice little bars to stop and enjoy an adult beverage.

For years I have been visiting family in the area around Idlewild park. And always the highlight of the visit is walking for miles into the downtown and back. Always stop for coffee at the Hub!!

In the summer this is so popular it can be hard to find a place to park. Start in downtown Reno and walk along the tree lined trail with the river beside you. (And good for a short bike ride too!)
