Great get-away from downtown. Reno has amazing outdoor opportunities. The hikes off 4th street, and Peavine make it an underrated destination.

The walk along the Truckee is very pretty. We want to ride our bikes on the bike route, believe it would be very nice. The river is currently running at a dangerous level, so it's look, don't get in!

It was a very hot day but it was pleasant taking the river walk along the river and into the park. It was mainly on the flat which helped.

I did not see an no fishing signs. Check on the Nevada Department of Fish and Game to see if it is open and the price for non-resident licenses.
