Spent a very nice day the the valley of fire, this was one of our stops. Nice sturdy stairs make it easy to get up to the petroglyph and it is well worth the climb!!!!! Beautiful scenery throughout the park and so worth the drive!

The parts of the park that I wanted to see and take a hike were closed due to the heat. I should have planned to visit in the spring.

4000 year old petroglyphs you can walk right up to. This complete gem is as underrated as can be. Amazed it isn't better recognised

Atlatl rock is a good place to stop and view petroglyphs in Valley of Fire state park. There is a set of stairs to climb to the viewing platform.

There is a good sized parking lot

Climb a staircase next to the parking lot for a view of some ancient petroglyphs. There is a restroom there as well as shaded picnic tables. Nice spot.

There is a modern staircase to the site rather than the old rock-hewn steps, which are visible underneath. This is a quick stop but worth it if you like petroglyph art.

Parking area is just a short walk away with shaded area for hot days. The steps will take you to the top to see where the petroglyphs are at. Very safe. The rock formation is also very interesting.

Very well done. No hiking at all.

The petroglyphs are a must see and so very interesting. Walk around to the left for many more petroglyphs at eye level.

A long stair case to see petroglyphs. It's a sturdy metal stair case but can feel tight if there are many people making the trek. Very interesting to see and a extra bonus in the park.

The entire park is like a smaller scale national park filled with unique vantage points and interesting things to see.

There's a picnic area close by to enjoy lunch or a snack.

The petroglyphs are super cool to see and think about their history. The rest of the park is pretty but basic compared to nearby National parks
