The Pics Make It Worth It
We went around sunset and the photos came out beautifully. Avoid standing in the huge line and just take your photos to the ‘side’ of the sign. It’s still a great view and if you know your angles then 9 times out of 10 you can get one without no one in the background. I wouldn’t trust anyone to take a photo of you unless you also take one of them as I’ve heard there are scammers around the sign who will offer a photo and charge obscene amounts of money. There’s also some really cute street vendors offering refreshing treats. At the end of the day it’s just a sign but it’s iconic.

    Worth a Picture
We walked down to the sign and stopped along the way and grabbed the bus back. not surprised to see a queue but we stood to the side and captured the moment by and helpful tourist. Obviously as you are on outskirt of Las Vegas not much else there.

The Las Vegas sign is fabulous
After 6 visits to Vegas, finally made it to the fabulous Las Vegas sign. We visited at the start of our trip during the day and at the end of our trip at night. Both times there were lines for picture but everyone was respectful and waited their turn and everyone got their due time. There are “workers” at the front of the line that will take your pictures. The service is free and optional but it is worth the few dollars in tips for the shots they will get for you. During the day it was hot, but there were vendors selling drinks and snacks while you waited, so the wait did not seem that long. At night there were many intoxicated people there and not so sure I would take my young children there in the evening. The sign is definitely something that should be seen in Vegas and it is unfortunate we were not able to see it sooner.

    Great start to the trip
We visited the sign on the first day; we were jet lagged and up early. I think we got to the sign for about 8:30am and there was no queues, no one around bar a friendly gentleman who was working and offered to take pictures for us. Of course - we tipped him for his generosity - but I see no problems as he took lots of pictures for a once in a lifetime opportunity - and they turned out great! I would definitely recommend visiting early in the day so you beat the queue lines.

    A must do
A must do! Everyone needs their cliche Welcome To Las Vegas sign photos. There is very little shade here, and no seating. A guy was at the front taking photos for a tip. He was great and we tipped $5, you don't need him to take the photos it does just make things easier.

    A must visit!!!
A must see in vegas! We arrived at around 8am and there was no queue. We got an Uber down to the sign (from the Bellagio) and walked back weaving in and out of the casinos which was great. Friendly chap took plenty of our photos. Tipped $10 and he was very grateful. Took 12 pics overall.

    A must do
We’ve been to Vegas several times but somehow never fitted in a visit to the iconic sign. This time after enjoying an early morning breakfast at Dennys on the strip we decided to visit. It was about a two mile walk which we found really enjoyable passing lots of famous sites at the end of the strip nearest to the airport. On arrival, at about 0830hrs, there was an orderly queue and it took about 15 minutes to get to the head of it. We took pictures for the family ahead of us and the family behind did likewise for use. Great memories and recommended.

100-Degree Death March Just for Sign Pics!
We were in LV the third weekend of August so it was 100 degrees when we started at Harrahs and did an all-day death march of +26K steps through one casino after another to arrive at the sign around sunset. I think it took around 45 minutes for us to get to the front of the line for pics. By then, what’s another 45 minutes, right?! We were sweaty and sunburned but we’re in our mid-60s so we were pretty proud of ourselves! Quest completed! We called Uber from the Harley dealership and enjoyed our ride back to civilization!

Utilise the Deuce Bus to get there. There is a stop either side so get off the bus, take your photo, cross the road, get on the next bus back to the strip. Don’t queue with the other sheep, walk down the side and get a nice angle shot with a clear blue sky backdrop.

    Perfect Place For A Wedding
If you’re gonna get married in Vegas you may aswell do it here! Married by The Little Church of the West, as people who were not bothered about a traditional wedding, it was perfect. And at least you get a free audience with the queue of people lining up for their photos taken!

It's a cool thing to see. However, we had a party of 55 here for my nephew's wedding, which had been reserved and paid for. But the tourist pictures at the sign continued and a few people complained that we were in THEIR way.

We stopped on the way into vegas. The sign was lit up for the night which was fun for a photo or two. There’s a small free car park nearby and it was easy to find.

It's just a sign, but, it's free and cool so stop to see it if you are in the area. This was a quick stop while on a bus tour to the Hoover dam

Ok it’s only a sign some people might argue!!! However it really is a landmark. There was a time it was literally stuck on its own in the middle of the highway and people would risk there life’s dodging the traffic to get the photo!! However today it’s been separated from the dangerous traffic ( your still have to cross the road if walking, but there is a crossing to it). There’s even a small car park only accessible south bound attached to it, however be careful ❗️ cars fly off the highway in to the car park!!!
Always a line no matter what time you go. In the summer the temperature can get ridiculous so bear that in mind as you stand in the queue watching newlyweds, bridesmaids, best man etc having professional photos done or the giggling girls taking pictures from every conceivable angle with there smartphones😂.
There is usually a guy who doesn’t work here but gives the impression that he does by skilfully manipulating tourists in to thinking he does… and of course expects a few bucks for his troubles for taking the picture.
My advice skip the line, skip him, go down the side, you literally get the same result, ask the people on the side who have also realised what’s going on to take the picture for you and you for them, we were there at most 5mins!!
I think if I hadn’t taken the picture I would have gone home with a feeling that something was missing!✌️❤️

My wife and I opted to walk to the sign instead of getting a taxi or Uber as it was our first time in Vegas and we wanted to see the sights along the way.

If taking a car there is a small car park.

There was a long queue to take photos but instead we opted to take our own selfies.....be warned the letters are inverted if you take a selfie but you just need to edit on your phone. We also asked some other people if they would take our photo. Absolutely no need to queue.....the photos taken from the side are just as good.

Whilst walking back we passed the Harley Davidson dealer and Pinball place.....we did not enter either but would go to these if we came back.

Easily accessible by car and on foot, it's a must-visit if it's your first time in Vegas. We took an Uber from our hotel and walked our way back up the strip. Cool pictures, and if there's a line, you can still get pretty decent pictures from the side.

Site has a small parking lot and plenty of room for photos. I went during the day, early in the morning. I’m happy we went around 9am because the line slowly grew after we arrived. There is an in-official but helpful person at the front taking pictures for you for tips. You don’t have to use him or wait in the line if you’re fine taking your photo from the side. Very happy we went but I was very surprised with how busy it was so early!
Consider taking a photo at the Harley Davidson’s Las Vegas sign too! It’s just a few steps toward the strip from the Las Vegas sign. No people and a cool photo too!

It's the iconic Welcome to Las Vegas sign and if you're in town, well, you gotta get a pic with it.

My son and I walked down to it, even though you can drive, as there's a car park next to it. We joined the queue and watched what was going on.

There were two people offering to take your picture. One was at the front of the queue and he would take the pictures on your mobile phones for you and if you wanted to pay him something, it was entirely up to you! There were no complaints in the twenty-five minutes that we waited.

The other gentleman was taking pictures with his own decent SLR set up and from what I saw, I think he emailed you the pictures. This was obviously for a price and he did two newly married couples in the time we were there!

Now, for the front on shot, that most people want, the queue is for you! This means that no-one else will be in your shot. For the side on pictures, you just take them as and when you want. The time to take them is when one group has finished taking pictures and the next group are getting ready but remember, your pictures will be at around a forty-five degree angle to the sign.

When it was our turn I firstly took pictures of my son by himself and then (I'd already set the stand up) I placed my phone on my tripod and set it to ten seconds, for a couple of shots together. This was because I knew exactly what I wanted, with the sign hitting the middle of the palm trees, to square it off.

The twenty-five minutes actually flew by, as it was fun seeing others do strange poses under the sign.

Overall, it's up to you what you want and I didn't feel any pressure at all from the gentleman taking pictures with peoples phones. He actually said once I was finished "You came fully prepared!"

A trip to Las Vegas is not complete without a kodak moment with the Las Vega Sign. There is a lot of symbolism with the design of the sign. It is a little south of Las Vegas but it is worth the trip
