I stayed here a number of times pre-pandemic and always found Main Street to be a solid value. This stay was no exception, and as I have gotten older I appreciate the laid back nature of the place. It is two blocks from Fremont Street and patronized mostly by elderly Hawaiians, so if you are looking for excited crowds this is not for you. Nice bar with great in-house beer selection and attentive bartenders. Food options are very limited, but plenty nearby. No table games during the week. Lots of slots. Video poker plentiful. Payouts on video poker are not anywhere near full-pay that I could find. Sadly, other than a few machines at the Four Queens, there seems to be no decent video poker to be found anywhere so I can't give Main Street demerits for that. Vegas changes. No coffee in room so we brought our own French press. Room was great for the money. Staff was cheerful and very helpful. Overall, if you want a quality place away from the fray, but not too far, Main Street Station is a great option. And unlike almost everywhere else downtown it is quiet at night. No concert thumping until 3AM.

The casino has been on of my favorites for quite a few years. Unfortunately, it appears the owners are doing everything in their power to run people off. All table games are moved to the California casino. Staffing is a minimal. The great buffet is now only open for brunch weekdays. Dinner is only served on weekends. For me, it is just another example of the visitors returning and the owners cutting costs. Sad.

Like the hotel. Its quiet Not many gamblers in this casino. I see why. Machines are way too tight. Bet maximum and receive minimum to nothing. Same at other Boyd properties downtown.

A different buffet we haven’t tried before and very good value. We stopped in as we were the area to check it out and it had a very good selection of quality items. Well priced and lots of seating.

We like the atmosphere and the decor of the Main Street Station, we are locals and come down to play there when relatives visit. The slots are loose enough that you can play a long time for $40 or so. I want to also say the Ladies bathroom in the main part of the casino was spotless this past weekend. The gal that cleans that bathroom does a great job. The reason I am complaining is the cleanliness of the slot machines. Whenever we come to play we bring washn' dries towlettes to wipe the machines down. They are always filthy. One would think with the Corona Virus situation these days that they would have staff going around cleaning the button, screens etc. etc.. Luckily I had my wipes which turn black with filth when I use them. The Casino should have a staff member armed with paper towels and spray cleaner going around cleaning the place. If money talks then the management should be thinking of the effect it would have for business if people start getting the Virus and it traces back to the Main Street.

When the dice are hot, it is the fastest way to make money. But, when the dice are cold, I tend to stay on the table way too long, waiting for another run.

Iconic/historic has turned into old and stale. Staff may be the friendliest in Vegas. Great buffet and 777 is good as well. Does offer $5 blackjack.

It is a smaller casino but very clean and worth the walk to gamble. Very attentive attendants and friendly staff. We signed up for their players club and even got a gift for signing up.

BEWARE IF YOU GAMBLE HERE!

My wife was mugged while playing the slot machine. It was our first time at Main Street Station Casino and certainly our last time. She was mugged near the main entrance of the casino. There are no security guards near doorways or anywhere near by. While she was on the slot machine, a well built man came in the main entrance and attacked my wife striking her from behind and grabbed her purse strap with violent force. She screamed and struggled as she was desperately holding onto her purse. He over powered my wife and took off running away with her purse while she chased after him onto the street. He was so strong, he injured my wife's shoulder and hand. To no avail, she returned into the casino, still no security guard insight. The security guards came a few minutes after but they were not able to help nor leave the property to assist. All they could do is make a report on the incident and left it to us to call the police. I certainly will not recommend this casino to my friends and family unless the Casino improves their security. Its been over 2 weeks now, we have never heard back from the casino. Players and gamblers, go there at your own risk. Casinos in California have door mans and security guards at every entrances.

I decided to drive downtown Las Vegas from Henderson because I have had some good times at the Main Street Casino. The parking has always been free or comped! Not this time - it was $8 unless you had enough points on your card or you ate at one of the restaurants. Didn't play long enough to get the points and had bad luck on the slots. So we decided to do the buffet which turned out to be a great choice.

When the mob ran Las Vegas it seems like it was more fun and old school was the "in" thing to do. Now that the pencil pushers run the joint they try to milk every last dime out of you and paying for parking is just one of the ways to tick off your customers. I simply don't care for the lack of customer friendlyness that we see today.

I think it would be wise to always expect the worse and hope for the best.

BTW - give me a "helpful" vote! It's free and not much else is these days!
