I arranged a basic wedding from the UK. Just the two of us and we didn’t really want a fuss so thought the basic package would be perfect. It was made very clear from the outset the basic package was $199 and that there would need to be paid in addition two gratuities for the officiant at $60 and the limo driver at $40.
The limo picked us up promptly and took us to the licence bureau for our licence and then took us to the chapel. The chapel is obviously old and a little bit shabby but it’s spotless clean and all staff really helpful and friendly. The officiant and photographer were both great and our wedding passed without problem and was everything we had hoped for. The limo also took us back to our hotel.
The flowers provided were beautiful, very fresh and were still thriving when I had to leave them in Vegas when we moved on.
The reason for only a 4 star review is the photo “situation.” As part of our package 7 photos were included. We were told when shown the photos that if we only went with the 7 included that they would take 8-9 weeks...WEEKS....to reach us but that if we paid $300 (plus tax) we could have all of the photos there and then on a disc plus two digital copies sent straight away.
I honestly don’t understand how 7 photos can take 8-9 weeks but the whole lot can be delivered immediately. Why can’t the 7 be provided electronically straight away too...it left a bit of a bad taste, we Brits hate feeling we’ve been ripped off. As it was we couldn’t pick only 7 so had to pay the $300 plus tax. You do get a bottle of fizz and two commemorative glasses but I was a bit cross about this. Also only one electronic copy was received but as we could share between us this isn’t something I followed up as it didn’t matter to us.
To date our papers haven’t been delivered to the licence bureau so we can order our certificate but it’s only been 7 days and we were told they don’t have to do this until day 10.
I would recommend the chapel for the basic wedding package but just make sure you fully understand the photo situation. Not everyone has a spare $300 plus tax to buy all of them.

A drive by wedding was suggested by the cab driver who took us to the marriage license bureau. It was perfect for us. We didn't have any quests, it couldn't have been more convenient. The cost was extremely reasonable. The pastor was terrific with very traditional vows.

We married in Lee Canyon Meadow and it was absolutely amazing(like a dream). A Special Memory recommended this location, as we wanted an outdoor wedding. We went in on the same day we married, but they planned everything perfectly! It was so much more than we could of hoped. So thank you Jamie, Jim, Ashleigh, the rest of the staff that aided, and Maria(our photographer) you made our day special! There is not enough thanks to say hope much we appreciated what you guys did for us!

We looked into MANY chapels before deciding on this one (I’ve left reviews for a couple others describing why we decided against them). We did all our research on the internet, over email and the phone so even after deciding on A Special Memory we were still a little nervous to see the chapel in person. We went to get our marriage license the morning of our wedding and stopped by the chapel, which is about 4 blocks (10 minute walk) from the marriage license place, to say “hi” to all the people that had been so helpful and to see where we’d be getting married in a few hours. We were very pleased!
Customer Service – The people were all amazing and the chapel was beautiful. Most of the communication when I had questions and for booking was with Irina and Aurora. They are both so sweet and so helpful. We bought the least expensive package and were a little apprehensive that we’d be treated poorly because we were not spending much. That could not be farther from reality. Every crazy question and request was answered quickly and courteously.
The package – We chose the “say I do” package, which is the least expensive at $199 ($231 including all tax and fees) because we wanted to keep it simple. We ended up having 5 guests. The main differences between the next few packages were additional printed pictures and more flowers. We would be happy as long as we had a couple good pictures and I was bringing my own flowers anyway so there was no need to spend more. In fact, I found a coupon (google “special memory chapel coupon”) for a discount off the ceremony!
Flowers – As I mentioned, I brought my own flowers made of wood that I will have as a keepsake forever. Nothing against real flowers, but I would only be in Vegas another 2 days after the wedding and would have to leave them behind when I flew home. The “say I do” package included a 3 rose bouquet. As I mentioned in my reviews of other chapels, some are not very accommodating if you want to carry your own and want you to forfeit the flowers in the package or even pay an additional fee. A Special Memory was not only happy to let me carry my own, but also allowed me to exchange the 3 rose bouquet in the package for 3 single roses (with baby’s breath, greens and coordinating ribbon) to give to my three female guests. I also had a wood flower for the groom’s boutonnière, so we used the boutonnière included in the package for one of the male guest and purchased an additional one for the other male guest for a very reasonable $10. When my guests arrived they were all given the flowers and made to feel special and as if they were truly part of our ceremony.
Photo CD – When I booked my wedding I thought I wanted to just get the printed pictures that were part of the package (6-4x6's and 1-8x10) and that would be enough, but as it got closer I started to think I’d want more to give to our parents and to show people. Initially I was opposed to buying the CD since the entire ceremony (with coupon) cost well under the $216 (tax included) cost of the CD. I started looking into the add-on packages that got me more printed photos. After reviewing the options I came to realize I was going to pay the same if not more than just paying $216 for the photo CD and printing my own pictures. On my layover on the way to Vegas I called Aurora and asked her to add the CD. She sounded relieved that I had decided to go with the CD and assured me I’d be happier with it rather than having to choose just a few printed pictures (that would take about a month after the wedding to arrive). Sure enough, as soon as I got home from Vegas I spent about $16 on photo paper and made an amazing album of 36 4x6 pictures, several additional 5x7 and wallet size pictures to put in our thank you cards, some 8x10 pictures to frame for us, our parents and my sister and an itty bitty one for my locket. To buy all of those a la carte would have cost hundreds – and now I can Photoshop them, crop them, and print as many as I want as often as I want. I am about as thrifty as someone can be and I am telling you it is so well worth the expense to get the CD!!! I have no regrets at all!
Pictures – We were a little nervous about having enough pictures to choose from as the “say I do” package states they’ll take “a minimum of 35 pictures” and that didn’t seem like many if some did not come out good. We had no need at all to worry!!! Jed, the photographer, was amazing. Make no mistake, these are not photos where every hair will be in the right place and someone will spend several minutes posing each shot. If that is what you are looking for you may want to look into adding some additional photo studio time. That said, the included pictures were perfect for what we wanted and came out wonderful. As far as the number of pictures we had no need to worry – Jed took well over 100 pictures and deleted some bad ones (closed eyes, etc.) before we viewed them. We ended up with 89 pictures on our CD!!! Included in the 89 he took the time to take pictures with our families – again really making sure that they felt they were part of our special day. I understand the additional time he spent with us might not always be possible if they are booked solid, but we got married on a Saturday at 6pm – there was no one scheduled for an hour before us (and we must have started early because we were done with pictures by 6:10) and there was another couple scheduled for 6:30 but at no point did we feel rushed.
Pastor – We had Pastor Jamie. She was very nice and made sure the ceremony was what we wanted (short but meaningful) and nothing we didn’t want (religious). I have to admit it is a little bit of a blur, but she did an amazing job of making us comfortable and keeping everything on track. She knew just when to take my flowers from me so I could light the unity candle (we did not have a wedding party for me to hand them off to). Before we chose a chapel we watched video of pastors at some other chapels and you could tell they were bored with the same tired old ceremony. Jamie sounded surprisingly sincere despite performing several ceremonies a day.
Limo – The limo showed up right on time. The driver was fantastic! He gave me hints on how to get in without ruining my dress and veil since he’s seen it done more times that I’ve done it. He also called the chapel to make sure my husband was there and hidden away so he would not see me until the ceremony began.
Tips – The suggested tips for the limo driver is $40 and the pastor is $60.
The cost –
“Say I do” package $199
Limo FFC Charge $16
Additional Boutonnière $10
Photo CD $200
Tax $33
Coupon (20% off ceremony) -$40
Tip – Limo driver $40
Tip – Pastor (Jamie) $60
TOTAL $518
Hints – Print a coupon for 20% off the ceremony (bestvegasattractions.com has one)
Enter on the chapel website to win a free wedding BEFORE you book your date. Even if you do not win they will contact you to book a date and put down a deposit and offer upgrades (we got a free unity ceremony).

please do not use this company it should be 0 stars photo tour to remember for all the wrong reasons
Oct 2014 • Couples
please read this review in full
I think the tittle says it all do not use this company if you want a wedding to remember for good reasons
we booked a wedding package with virgin holidays and as part of that we booked a 3 hour photo tour around Vegas and to red rock canyon
at the time of booking we were not told who our photo tour was with if we had and I had read the other reviews I would have cancelled straight away
so were to start
we had no contact from SPMWC before we left for Las Vegas so again we still did not know who was doing our photos we were told that the photographer and the limo and driver would be meeting us at the front of the Tropicana Hotel well the limo driver meet us but the photographer did not this is the first of a long list of problems
so we get in the limo and we are told buy the driver that the photographer will meet us at our first location the Las Vegas Sign so we think ok that's fine we can talk to him there.
we are on our way to the Sign when the driver tells us that the photographer will not be meeting at the sign we will have to go to the second location so the limo driver turns round and takes us to the Venetian hotels we get out of the limo and are told to wait on the benches byu the time he turns up he is 30mins late. no apology is given he then takes us in to the hotel reception for some photos this is were things get even worse he take a few pic with the new mother in law.
we then start with the 3 poses the only 3 poses this photographer know (look forward, look at each other and the kiss) he then takes us to the bridge and on our way tells us these are the only 3 poses he knows and if we have any ideas to tell his so we do the same thing on the bridge as we did in the reception until my husband said we should do some were we are looing round the pillar, there is no direction from the photographer he dose not say when he is taking the photos and this carries on all through our time with him, as he taken a few photo at the bridge he then askes us were else we want to go next we then tell him we had already gin the location in the uk and we wanted to go to red rock canyon this is when thing start to get even worse.
he then turns round and says we cant go to red rock you need permits to take pictures, then its two far away he stand uming and arring for ten min then makes a phone call we tell him it was on the locations list we were gin and we were told it would be classed as two of our choices.
he then rings the driver and he says if he floors it we can make it but there will only be a chance to take pics at one more location when we get back we agree to this as it was our main reason to book this package as the thought of red rock at sunset was lovely
what we got was not so we get to tred rock and we do the 3 poses over and over aging then he says look out over the canyon and ill take pics so we do thinking all the time this is very strange. He then turns round to us and tells us that he has run out of ideas the sun is nearly gone he only has his camera set to 3 meg pixels and dose not have the right equipment for this kind of light
so did he want to do some signs with our hands
yes they are as bad as ur thinking
so we get back in the limo and head back to vegas we get there in time for the Bellagio fountains at 8pm he makes me walk through a bush which resulted in my wedding dress getting ripped he then had us do the poses again and watch us watch the fountains
his camera is that bad that it can even capture the fountains
so this is the problems with the photography
he cant get things in focus
he cant hold the camera straight so some pics are at a really bad angle for no reason
he like to take pics while ur eyes are closed never did he tell you to be ready
the camera is out of date
3 mega pixels
equipment's is not good enough to take photos in the dark
a child could do better on a smart phone
no direction
just bad service I whish the driver had taken them as he told us he like to do photography in his spare time our photos would have better
getting your photos is a struggle he took are email when we had paid for a disk and told us we would receive them the next day 3 days later we had to get virgin to ring then they sent the photos on high tail and they will delete after 14 days
and finally we have not one good photo from our tour
that's no photos of our big day
out of focus eyes cosed mess
but if you have a problem don't hope to get a response
not even virgin holidays can get a full response from Irene
they have been brushing it under the carpet was the managers words on it
so if a global company cant get a full response as to the reasons they were so bad
what hope do us little people have
we have not received and apology from them and I doubt they care

We decided to do something out of the ordinary for our wedding, so we booked the Grand Canyon wedding through A Special Memory. Irina at A Special Memory coordinated everything, and made it really easy for us. All the planning was accomplished in 3 or 4 e-mails and a couple of phone calls. We (bride, groom, and 2 guests) were picked up at our hotel in a limo and taken to the marriage bureau to pick up our license. Getting the license took a total of about 3 minutes, and we were off to the helipad. We were provided with a flower and bouquet, as well as a bottle of champagne and a cake (which we saved for later - very tasty) and met with our minister and photographer. We didn't have to wait long, and we all boarded the helicopter for our flight to the Grand Canyon. The flight was only about 45 minutes, and our pilot pointed out the sights along the way. Then, we landed INSIDE the Grand Canyon in a beautiful, picturesque spot just a little while before sunset. So cool. The ceremony was very quick, but nice, and our photographer took lots of great pictures. After a couple of glasses of champagne, we were back on the helicopter for the flight back to Vegas. We flew over the strip as the sun was going down, which was great, and then landed back at the helipad. Our limo driver was there waiting for us, and took us back to the hotel. From beginning to end, the experience was about 4 hours, and we were lucky to have a fantastic driver, minister, photographer and pilot. The next day we stopped by the chapel and our CD of photos was ready as promised. The pictures were great! This was a truly unforgettable experience, and couldn't have gone any better. Thanks for a wonderful wedding experience!!!

I highly recommend this chapel. I did my research on chapels in Las Vegas. As a first time bride at 54 years old I wanted something special. This venue hit the mark. The chapel itself is very quaint. There is a white wooden gazebo outside, water fountains, and lush green grass. ( The area is sketchy; however, don't let that deter as that's just Las Vegas.) The inside has two chapels both with wooden floors and oak pews. The pews are nicely decorated with white flowers at each pew. The larger of the two chapels has a wonderful dressing room for the bride and groom. Each dressing room has a mirror and chairs. Perfect for last minute makeup and grooming. We purchased the $299 packet which came with a limousine. You are responsible for $50.00 tip to driver and $50-90 tip for Minister. Our package included a "real" six rose bouquet with baby's breathe. The rose bouquet was gorgeous and very expensive looking. Also included was 9 pictures (8 x10, 4- 5x7 and 6- 4x6) and a DVD. The other ancillary stuff like champagne flutes and picture frames with the higher packages looked cheap and I wouldn't bother buying the upgrade. The consultants are available by phone or email; therefore, they can answer any questions you have on the price packages. They were very helpful and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The day of the Wedding the limo driver will call you an hour ahead of pickup and will tell you exactly where he will be picking you up. In our case it was at our hotel where the Uber and taxi drivers pick up by valet. Upon entering the chapel the assistant will guide you as to direction into the chapel (I.e. When music starts walk in ....) It was nice to have someone directing as I was nervous. The non-denominational Minister was excellent. She delivered the prose in perfect harmony. We wrote our own vows and she let us do them. It was a perfect 10 minute ceremony. The videographer and photographer are taking pictures the entire time. The photographer takes pictures before, during and after. Our limo driver also took pictures (with our cameras) outside and quite honestly... he took awesome photo's and about 30 photos were the best of the event. The entire Wedding was perfect and the chapel was the frosting on cake. I am not easy to please and I am more fault finding than most people and this chapel not only met my high standards but EXCEEDED my expectations. Please don't hesitate to message me with questions or references.

Not recommended for many reasons. We bought the $200.00 package. As soon as we paid on line we were told the suggested gratuity is $100.00 for the minister and limo driver and it would be expected upon our arrival. 7 pictures came with the package and the option to buy more for $55 starting price. After we paid the gratuity (the envelope they handed us for the tip said "minimum $60") the photographer also handed us an envelope for a gratuity. When we questioned why the hidden fees they said this is Vegas, that's how it works and we have to pay to work here. They stated that the website says " gratuity not included". When we looked at the pictures on line to choose, SAMPLE was written across all of them and we are only allowed to choose those during the ceremony which of course aren't as good as the ones we posed for. The ceremony took a grand total of 5 minutes and we feel utterly taken advantage of. For the money we paid we should have at least gotten the few pictures we wanted. Their business practices are deceitful and shameful. I wouldn't recommend it to any one.

My husband and I waitied until we arrived in Vegas before choosing where to marry which in the end was by far the best idea. We got mobbed by people selling us their chapel/venue outside the court house where you get the license. We took all the info back to our hotel and went for this one based on Tripadvisor. After a couple of calls, they were more than accommodating, working with our needs and budget. We were thoroughly taken care of and everyone made it feel so special. Especially the wonderful Pastor who surprised us both by moving us to tears! Maria our lovely witness made me completely at ease, I didn't miss my family and friends at all! By far the best experience we could possibly have had. Thank you to everyone there!

We got married at A Special Memory Wedding Chapel through the drive thru. It was a vow renewal and a drive thru, our expectations were not high. The cost on the other hand was steep to say the least.
I had to reach out to the company with questions about my flowers...that came with the package I ordered and if they received my photograph request form. Communication is truly lacking.
Our ceremony was quick as expected but the best part was at the end of the ceremony the minister wrote on an envelope expected minister donation between $60-100. It was excessively tacky even for a drive thru wedding in Las Vegas. The minister was unkempt and didn't seem like she wanted to be there let alone marry us. Did I mention our ceremony lasted literally three minutes? I knew the ceremony would be quick but to expect that large of a tip for three minutes is robbery.
Photos took almost two months to arrive and they were printed at a bulk, budget website.
If you are looking to get married in Las Vegas check out Scenic Las Vegas. We got married with them also. The company is phenomenal.

So I have a dvd and 12 photos included in my package. I have read these photos are only of inside the chapel. Is this correct you have to pay extra for outdoor ones and if so how much. This wasn’t stated when booked.

We had phots taken outside too.

Getting married here in October. We have paid all the taxes and tips through our wedding company. However I keep reading when you get there they expect you to pay again? Has this happened to anyone else??
Also can you take your own music to walk down the aisle ?
TIA
Amanda

If everything was included in your booking you will not have to pay anything more. You may bring your own music for us to play either on a cd or usb. :). Excited to meet you!

Does A Special Memory Wedding Chapel do intimate ceremonies (with just the bride and groom)? If so, do they provide a witness? Thanks.
Written 21 February 2019
Yes absolutely! And we can provide a witness for you as well!

Hello, we are a couple from Barcelona and we travel to Las Vegas next March. We have loved your chapel and we prefer to get married in our own car (autoboda-drive thru weedings), we do not want limousine service or transfer from the hotel, is it possible, what would be the cost ?. We would also like the ceremony in spanish. Thank you very much for your help. Raquel and Eduard

Hello! First of all congratulations on your upcoming wedding! We would be honored to be apart of your day! We are a family owned and operated chapel here in Las Vegas since 1971. You absolutely can do a drive thru wedding in your own car! We have lots of people who do that. Our drive thru packages start at $199 and come with professional photography, bouquet for the bride and boutineer for the groom! We can also provide your ceremony in Spanish. What date and time are you looking to have the wedding in March? This is definitely busy season and we want to make sure you get the date and time you desire! Look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hi my husband and I are renewing our vows at the special memory chapel in August.
I have a few questions first what do we need to do lol do we write vows , exchange rings etc ?
Also we booked with the wedding travel company which says the limo , minister and all gratuities are included in the package worrying about what I will have to pay when we are there. Has anyone else booked with them too?
Thank you
Written 13 July 2018
Hey, you just repeat the vows the minister says, exchange rings and we lit a candle also. You don’t pay any more than your booking price. Congratulations

Hello,
My husband & I are coming in October 2018. We would like to renew our vows in Vegas.
I didn't enjoy our 1st wedding due to sickness(me) & our photographer was drunk , so we didn't get any photos. The One photo I want is under the Las Vegas welcome sign @ night.
Is this possible Can you send me costs & details please.
Thank you
Written 13 May 2018
Hi the welcome to Las Vegas sign is free there is a person who will take your photo for a few dollars tip.
The best way to get to the sign is by bus as you can hop off have a photo then hop back on so you don’t spend too much on a Uber cab.
Hope this is helpful and best wishes.
