Filthy and Scary
Sep 2021
This place is Hell on Earth. I went to Vegas 20-some years ago and remember a decent, fun place. Just got back today and will never go back. The whole city reeks of pot, cigarettes and smog. The first place we went to, we had to experience a very high/drunk/drugged up violent person screaming profanities and threatening to stab people. It scared the hell out of us. It never got better. Dirty, smelly, filthy, nasty, etc everywhere. . The homeless high people were in every location laying on the sidewalks, even in the high scale malls and stores. This was so sad and such a shame. We were scared at every turn, couldn’t wait to leave. It was nicer once you left the city and I recommend Hoover Dam, Sedona, Joshua Tree and Grand Canyon.

Gone downhill
Sep 2021
Everything smells like pot and cigarettes. It feels much dirtier then it used to. Unfortunately there are people high on drugs crashed along the walkways. Also, much raunchier elements then previously - not suitable for kids to see.

I used to love to come to Vegas. Not sure I'll ever go back.

There's only one Las Vegas Strip
Sep 2021
I always find The Strip so unique and colorful. Enjoy people watching and all the bright lights of The Strip. Haven't been back here for several years and I still found walking along the Strip safe and not too many homeless people. Make sure you have comfy shoes because you will walk and check out the Trams between some of the hotels, they help to walk less. I try to find a hotel centrally located on the strip to help with getting around.

You don't have to gamble to enjoy Las Vegas
Aug 2021
We come here quite often and have walked down the strip many times (weather permitting). During the summer, it gets quite warm, but you can get into a casino fairly quickly to cool off. Lots of restaurants and attractions. Of course if you come to Las Vegas -- this is where you will be.

Las Vegas the third world country

Start by cleaning the Strip up. We have stayed at the Strat several times over the last 5 years. My wife and I were just there in July, this whole area has become so nasty I can never recommend it to anyone. If you must go to Las Vegas area stay away from the strip go to some of the better places out of town, Henderson. BOULDER both have far better hotels and casinos. Having said that if , homeless people, nasty hookers, and smelly druggies are your thing then the strip is fir you. My wife now works in Henderson and she has found some really nice places. No hookers. No homeless begging off you and you do not have to worry about tripping over some overdosed druggy. They can not blame anyone except the corporations running everything.

Something for Everyone!
Sep 2021
The Strip is a long, fascinating stretch of asphalt and concrete, so get your walking shoes on. There are restaurants, shops, and activities everywhere! My hotel (the Westgate) was at the north end, but there's a Monorail stop there to take you all the way to the south end to begin your walk. Distances are farther than you think, because the hotels are huge, covering lots of linear road frontage. Hotels on the strip are themed, and you can learn a lot by popping into the lobbies. You can also walk for blocks inside a hotel, and I didn't find signage to be great in all of them. If you want to walk a little less or get tired and decide to bail on the walk, the Monorail stops in 9 places, so you can get back on. It runs across the backs of hotels, and you do have to walk to get to it. There are casinos in all the hotels, and any chain restaurant you like can be found on or just off the strip. There are also multiple elevated walkways across Las Vegas Blvd, so you aren't in danger of being run over as you cross the street to be sure you see it all!

Long walk
May 2021
Long long walk, be ready if you want to walk it all thru from The Strat down to the Mandalay.
There is still some construction going on after Wynn and till Strat - not safe area to be and mainly nothing to do there, same as from New York or MGM down to Mondalay - pretty boring. All the game stuff is around the Bellagio hotel, so you might want to stay in that area, without having to walk far away.
Plus the Strip at night time is full of drunks, me*icans and bl*cks, that want to sell you something barely legal.

Hubby and I went out for a walk and didn't realize we were walking for over three hours. Vegas strip has the best malls and scenery.

A good time but be careful...
Sep 2021
Both the positive and negative reviews are right on. It is still a good time, but it's costly, and please be careful. I can't believe people bring kids to LV.
