About
Displaying over 250 retired signs of casinos and businesses from all over town, the Neon Museum offers a peek into old Vegas. On a tour through the museum's two-acre courtyard, you’ll see gigantic, glitzy signs and learn more about their history. You can also watch the Brilliant! Jackpot show, a fantastic augmented reality experience that reanimates 40 of the neon signs in the museum. Don’t forget to stop by the gift shop for souvenirs, as well as the visitor's center which is located inside the former La Concha Hotel lobby. Though open from mid-afternoon, the Neon Museum looks even more spectacular after sunset when the signs are lit up. – Tripadvisor

    Amazing Experience
Came here with small group and had a blast! All the history in the signs and hearing about Vegas in the past was amazing. We had Bob as a tour guide and he was beyond knowledgeable and a great story teller. He really made the entire experience better.

Wonderful way to spend an hour!
What a great way to spend an hour and see the preservation of decades worth of Las Vegas history through neon signs! We did the self-guided tour during the day and while the signs were not lit up, we were there more to immerse ourselves in years worth of iconic signs of years gone by. The boneyard was well laid out, with lots of reference along the way. The experience is nostalgic, and gives you a great sense of history on some of the older signs (e.g. Moulin Rouge). We absolutely loved our visit and supporting the non-profit focused on conservation of Las Vegas casino history.
Wow, thank you so much for visiting and for taking the time to provide such a detailed (and kind!) review about your experience at The Neon Museum. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed learning more about Las Vegas history through our signs. Thank you for supporting the Museum and we hope to welcome you back again soon.

    Highly recommended
We highly recommend visiting this museum, it was a great visit. We’d booked the tour and the ‘brilliant’ extra and it was just that. So well organised, such knowledgeable and approachable staff it was a lovely evening well spent. The signs are set out really well too, it really brought the old vegas back to life.
We're so glad you were able to visit the Museum! We are happy you enjoyed your visit learning more about the history behind the signs. Thanks for your support and taking the time to provide your feedback. Thank you for visiting and the recommendation. We hope we'll see you back again soon!

Great night tour, the show, not so much
It was our 1st time at the museum and we opted for the night tour and show afterwards. We really liked the tour, and it's definitely nicer to visit the museum at night. However, we found the show really underwhelming (and from the body language of other people in the group, we were not alone). Also our guide to the enclosed area where the show takes place was very bossy and unpleasant. I suppose it's an act, but we didn't find it funny and it made us uncomfortable. Finally don't bother to take your cameras, except for phones, they don't allow them.
Hello and thank you for visiting The Neon Museum. We are thrilled that you enjoyed our guided tour learning more about the history of Las Vegas through our signs. We’re disappointed to learn that Brilliant! Jackpot was not what you had hoped for. The show reanimates 40 iconic vintage signs through projections to create a 360-degree audiovisual experience, which is usually a fan favorite. We are however, sorry you did not enjoy it. We appreciate your support of the museum and taking a moment to provide your feedback. We are always striving to improve our guest experience.

After visiting so many times we finally made it. It was very nostalgic and fun. We did both tours at night and enjoyed.
Finally made it to the neon museum and loved it did both tours at night. This is something I’ve wanted to do for 29 years. It’s interesting history and cool to see the signs up close. The new artist did an amazing job with the new exhibit, very cool to see old signs that no longer work lite up. The music and the video was cool too. The old hotel the gift shop and office are in are very neat too see and even the courtyard next too it where you wait for the 2nd tour, which I’m assuming at one time held the pool. Our tour guide Trinity was amazing, and the other guide was nice too I can’t remember her name though.

    Perfect evening in the boneyard!
Leah was our guide - she was really engaging, knowledgeable and kept it fun! When we first saw that it was a tour - I was more hesitant. I had just wanted to go in and check out the cool signs at night. We'd have missed SO MUCH if we would have just read signs along the way. We learned so much, have a greater appreciation of the history of Vegas through signage and the legacy these beauties leave behind.

    Truly captivating experience
My visit to the Neon Museum in Las Vegas in October 2023 was a truly captivating experience. This outdoor museum is a remarkable tribute to the city's vibrant history and a must-see attraction. The collection of vintage neon signs in the museum offers a journey into the heart of old Las Vegas. Every sign carries a piece of the city's legacy, representing former hotels, businesses, and iconic spots that once adorned the streets. I joined one of the guided tours, and I was amazed by the wealth of knowledge and passion our guide brought to the experience. The stories behind the signs came to life, making the tour all the more engaging. For photography enthusiasts, the Neon Museum is a paradise. The signs, especially when they come to life in the evening, present endless opportunities for striking photographs. Whether you're a professional or just a casual photographer, you'll find inspiration in every corner. Be mindful that the museum is an outdoor venue, so prepare accordingly for the weather. Las Vegas can get quite hot during the day, so dress comfortably and stay hydrated. To avoid disappointment, I highly recommend reserving your tickets in advance, as this attraction tends to draw a crowd. If you have the chance, visit in the evening when the signs are illuminated. The colors and ambiance during this time are truly enchanting, making it an ideal choice. Before you leave, don't forget to explore the museum's gift shop. It's stocked with a variety of neon sign-themed souvenirs, offering you the perfect way to remember your visit.

    Awesome Tour!
My friends and I loved this tour! Do the night version for sure, when the signs are all lit up at night it’s so cool. Learning the fun history of the signs and Vegas with our excellent tour guide made for a fun night. Our Lyft driver told us this wasn’t a very good neighborhood so maybe don’t walk here but we felt safe while on property the entire time. Also, great gift shop!

An essential place to visit in Las Vegas!
Visiting the Neon Museum will decode Las Vegas for you. It is a beautiful and immaculately clean outdoor museum with passionate docents who personalize the tour which makes it truly top notch, so much more than a memorized speech or a robotic headphone tour you might get at a museum that cares less about excellence. The optional “Brilliant” show is so magical and there are several versions to see so you can return again and see another one! You’ll want to spend 1-2 hours there. Be prepared because there is not much shelter from the elements. Las Vegas is blistering hot in the summer. I drank several drinks and the seating outdoors was uncomfortably hot. During a winter visit, there was one small heater for two groups of tourists waiting outside for up to 30 minutes. Prepare accordingly, it is 100% worth at least one visit!

Get this on your bucket list !
So glad I was talked into this. I’ll happily admit it wasn’t on my list of places to visit in Vegas, but, how glad am I that I went. Brilliant ! We took the last organised tour of the evening and enjoyed every single minute of this trip back in time. I’m sure a trip in the daylight let’s you see things differently but our night tour was spectacular. Get this on your must visit list the next time you’re in Vegas, you will not regret it at all.

Having read most of the recent reviews it seems the main gripe is the entrance fee. Coming from the UK we found everything in Vegas expensive and at $30 per head this is at the lower end. Probably our mistake was to go during the middle of the day as the whole point of neon lights is just that. Lights ! All that said it was a fascinating half hour wander through the city’s history and the several badged attendants were so interesting and helpful giving us an insight to the signs and the background to old Vegas. I wonder if they were actually volunteers as paid staff are rarely as enthusiastic and knowledgeable as some of these folks.
We had no problem getting in although security does seem rather over the top for a small off Strip attraction. The special Tim Burton exhibit was interesting but I was disappointed not to be allowed my small point and shoot camera as my ‘phone is too old to be useful for anything other than making calls.

$30 to get in and you don't even get to see everything, you have to pay another $24 to see the other part of the museum. A group of people in front of us had obviously just gotten married and had a tiny silk bouquet with them and a backpack. They were told they weren't allowed the backpack or flowers as they're considered to be props. You're also not allowed to take in proper cameras, only allowed to take photos on phones. The entire thing can be looked at in 5 minutes maximum and if it wasn't for the Tim Burton addition, which still doesn't justify the price, it would be a 2 minute thing. There are far too many staff. There were literally staff stood around doing nothing and then just stood at the doors to walk you from one door to another and one each to open or close a door respectively. Wish I could get my money and time back. I'm not even going to add any photos to this review because everything on the reviews already is everything there is and it's hard to get a good photo of a sign especially if it's big because of the narrow paths and cramped area where everything is. Save your money and do literally anything else.

My husband and I visited the museum with much excitement - unfortunately we left very disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, there were a few cool signs but $30 USD per person is extremely overpriced! The yard is small, taking us 15 mins to walk around, alot of the signs were not working and were either on their side or upside down. We were told only 19 of the signs in the whole museum were functional but it didn’t even seem that many. To access the other area you then have to buy a separate $24 USD ticket.
Don’t get me wrong, a good experience in itself - just ridiculously overpriced!

When your in Vegas, take a break from gambling and hit this place!! You will get a bit of a history lesson along with a visual experience that is second to none! You can book varying degrees of tours. It can be a bit pricey depending on what you choose, but it was well worth the price of admission. I recommend visiting at night to get the best viewing experience. You have to book ahead of time as the tours are timed and they only let so many people in at a time. It is all booked on line too. The tour that takes you through the restored and working portions is about 45 minutes long but what you get to see and what learn about Vegas is incredible! The light show in the bone yard is one of the most visually stimulating things I’ve seen, the old unrestored signs come to life and live again through modern technology, it’s absolutely a joy to see!! Take time from the casinos and GO!!!

10 of us went to visit the Neon Museum because a couple of us had seen good reviews on line about it. It was 30 dollars admission and took us about 20 minutes to go through it. We all agreed it was not worth it and looked like a junk yard. Admission should have been 5 dollars if that. I rarely write bad reviews but felt I had to warn people about this rip off.

The Neon Museum is great... I went at dusk/sunset, as this was recommended by several people. Definitely a good decision as you get to appreciate the lights in different... lights. Ha.

First up, the guide (whose name I don't know, but a woman with a shaved head) was amazing. She knows how to tell a story, how to add jokes, how to keep the crowd engaged with the history she's telling. Few times have I seen a group so engaged with the guide and actively listening. She's great.

The mix of working and non-working lights is beautiful if you know how to appreciate it. To me it seems like 50% or more were working, so I wouldn't listen to some of the reviews complaining about that. Even when they're not working, you can still appreciate the art of them, in my opinion. The working lights are beautiful.

Some people have complained about the cost, and I have some trouble understanding that. The Neon Museum is a non-profit and uses the funds to restore these lights and these pieces of history. To me, the $30 is more than going to good use, especially when you see the size of these signs and the sheer antiquity of the design... it's like people think the restoration is as simple as sticking some light bulbs in them. To me the cost is totally worth contributing to restoring such wonderful remnants of past times and the beginnings of such a curious and unique place. The stories around these lights and the ability to hopefully some day see some of the older signs lit up is more than worth it.

I fully recommend the visit if you enjoy being taken back in time and marveling at how fun and creative we humans can be.

This year was my first time visiting the Neon Museum due to my love of all things Tim Burton and him having an exhibit here. Truth is I don't know why I hadn't been before as this place is awesome! We got 4pm tickets for the boneyard and 5.30 tickets for Brilliant. By the time we came out of the Brilliant show (Which as in the title is BRILLIANT) the sun had set and the Neons all took on a new dimetion which was wonderful. The little hidden gems of Tim Burton dotted around the Neons was fab for me, love this place and now recommend anyone going to Vegas to go have a look.

We paid for both the museum (Tim Burton exhibit) and the show. We bought our tickets in advance and went right at dusk (it was dark by the end of our hour). We enjoyed seeing both the old neon signs as well as the Tim Burton pieces. We saw everything in about 45 minutes. We then went over to the light show. We really enjoyed it (my husband, 6 year old, and I). The combination of music and lights was very fun. Overall, it is pricey to visit both the museum and the show (~$55 per person) but we thought it was definitely worth the price to visit once. A different thing to do in Vegas and we enjoyed it!

Not worth the $30 per person. Nice place to visit, but too expensive. We visited today, 2/6 and it took us between 10-15 minutes (including the gift shop). I know it’s a non profit and they need the ticket profits to keep the place running, but I believe they would have more visitors if it was a bit less. This is not affordable for a family.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I saw there was a Tim Burton exhibit at the museum, but happy to go to one of the TB exhibits! First off, I have wanted to go to the neon museum for ages but every time I had looked at entry prices, it seemed more expensive than it was this time around, I swear it was $50 to go last year, but I could be wrong on that. Anyway, it was a real treat to see the place although a lot smaller than I thought it was. I thought it’d be a lot bigger. At least the boneyard. I can only imagine that they have way more retired signs than what they had even though there was a bit. It’s nice to see the old Vegas signs.
