A walk back in time
Sep 2021 • Friends
We had been wanting to see this graveyard for some time. The guest center is the lobby of an old hotel and the back of the building holds many old signs of long forgotten hotels and famous businesses of Las Vegas. We felt we were back in time walking through the collection of forgotten signs. The tour is self guided and gives info about many of the old signs. Some are even still lighted. Enjoyed the large sign from the Hard Rock Cafe. If you enjoy history you will enjoy this museum. Will bring back many memories of old Las Vegas. You can stay as long as you like and there are tables available in the shade. An interesting side trip when in the area.

Worth checking it out
Sep 2021 • Family
Worth checking it out especially at night so you can enjoy the signs lit up. It’s definitely one of those things that you do once and you’re good.

You need to book a guided tour online for $28 a person. Not cheap but it’s Vegas so it’s basically a drop in the bucket of what you may lose at the tables or slots. It’s about an hour, you can’t go off of your own so listen to your tour guide and enjoy the history and nostalgia of old and new Las Vegas. You are walking on dirt so don’t wear heels or a nice pair of shoes. There’s a dedicated parking lot close by which is always a plus and it’s free.

Don't Miss It!

They offer 3 different tours/tickets - day self-guided, night guided, and the Brilliant light show. I definitely wanted to see it all at night.

We started with the Brilliant show which brings non-working signs to life with some video and history mixed in. I really enjoyed it. It is amazing, since none of the signs actually work, but you would never know with how well they did the light show.

I wanted a night self-tour, but that is not an option. So we decided to do the night guided tour, which worked out really well. Our guide was really funny and very informative. She told lots of stories and the history about so many of the older signs. It is awesome to see all the neon casino and business signs that have been restored at night.

All of the staff members were very friendly and answered all of my questions. A little pricey, but they are a non-profit and the admission supports them and their colorful, historical, and bright purpose.

Very cool
Sep 2021 • Solo
I visited the museum over the weekend while I was in Vegas. It was really cool! I did the self guided audio tour which I HIGHLY recommend. It tells you all about Vegas history and the establishments the signs are from. Keep in mind the neon signs are all outside. Where was very hot on the day I went. If possible I’d visit later in the day.
I spent about 45 minutes doing the audio tour and looking at the signs. Then bought some fun gifts in the gift store on my way out. Allow an hour and you’ll be fine. I’d DEFINITELY recommend this museum! Very cool and unique.

FINALLY!!
Aug 2021
I FINALLY made it to the Neon Museum for my birthday and it was so fun!! We purchased the guided tour and it started at 9pm promptly. Seeing and learning about all of the beautiful neon signs and history that go along with them was fascinating. Las Vegas is a revolutionary place and using neon as a vehicle to teach people more about it's history is unique. If you enjoy history or just want to look at all the pretty signs, this tour has something for everyone to enjoy!! It's inexpensive and a great chance to appreciate the history of a town that provides so many with an oasis.

Las Vegas is all about neon lights
Aug 2021
What a gem! The Neon Museum is a step back in time that evokes the Las Vegas of the 1930s to the 1980s. The 45-minute tour is well-worth the price of the ticket. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and well-prepared. The museum is a nonprofit, so ticket sales go directly to refurbishing old signs. The neon sign boneyard includes signs from businesses, the downtown, and the strip. Go at night to get the best experience as the signs are outside. We also went to the Brilliance show, which is a 30-minute entertaining audio and visual experience. While I'd do the tour again, once is enough for Brilliance.

Fun and Interesting
Aug 2021
This is a collection of neon signs from over the decades of places in Las Vegas from casinos to restaurants to other businesses. It's stepping back into the past. While many signs are not in great condition, the museum is actively renovating many. It's best to book a night tour as some of those signs are working and illuminated (more than we expected) and make some great photo opportunities. The guide was knowledgeable and shared many historical stories, both fun and sad. Tour takes about 45 minutes and is well worth the time. Even though it is roughly only 6-7 block walk from Fremont street, I would not recommend walking there or back at night. Take a cab or ride-share.

Neon Boneyard tour with Bob
Jul 2021 • Couples
Bob was a wonderful tour guide that helped explain some of the history of Las Vegas and it’s bright signs. It is smart to book on-line ahead of time so you can choose your tour time. I think our tour was full with 16 guests. Free parking and an overflow lot behind.

TERRIBLE!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! It cost us $73 to see these signs and the tour didn’t take 10 minutes! It took us longer to pay for our tickets than the actual tour!

Hello, we are sorry to hear that your recent visit to The Neon Museum wasn’t what you had hoped for. Did you purchase tickets for general admission or for a guided tour? Tours last 45 minutes and for general admission we recommend 30-45 minutes given the rich history and culture as well as the sheer size of some of the magnificent signs. We would like to know more about your experience. Please email our team at customerservice@neonmuseum.org.

Cool Vegas History!
Jul 2021
Our experience was flawless. Easy to book, the time we wanted was available, twilight is absolutely the best time to visit. Our guide was very friendly and informative. Many of the signs don’t work but are lit by spotlights making the ones that do work all the more amazing. This is a boneyard, full of pieces of old signs but the layout was well planned between working and non-working. If you are looking for a way to experience the old Vegas, this is a cool way to do it.
