Spent a pleasant and leisurely early afternoon at this museum. A nice change from the Strip. It is an old fashion kind of museum - not a lot of high tech. However, it is interactive and the displays are well explained. A bit eclectic with...More

We've been to the LV Natural History Museum multiple times and have enjoyed it every time. The dinosaur room is one of the kids favorites (6 and 4yr old), they have life size dinos that make a noise including a T-rex and Triceratops. Another favorite...More

Since we couldn't lug around the kids around gigantic hotels any longer, we took 'em to the museum. We were pleasantly surprised by the breadth and size of the place. The Egyptian hall was really cool and immersive, and the Dinosaur and animal dioramas were...More

Good for kids. Lots of interaction. Very informative on local Nevada natural history. Not a huge range of displays - good for a couple of hours browsing. Not very busy.

I like museums. I like almost all museums for whatever they might offer. But this one is a complete waste of time and money. There's an entrance fee per person. What you get is a really small museum with exhibits that sound great but which...More

I wouldn't recommend this for adults alone or older kids, but if you've got a young dinosaur buff or natural history fan in the family this is a good place to go on a rainy day or to get off the Strip.

Stopped by for almost 2 hours. The museum is not big, but still has a nice variety of exhibits about the natural world. There is a large room of taxidermied wildlife, as well as displays about ocean life. There are also dinosaur fossils, rocks and...More

If you have ever visited one of the country's good natural history museums, you'll be disappointed in the one. It has lots of "stuffed" animals, but it's relatively small and the exhibits sometimes look a bit dated.

Though it doesn't seem so from the outside, the museum has a number of exhibits, including live marine animals, pythons, exhibits on early man and Africa, and a detailed recreation of Tut's Tomb. There is also an aquarium tank created by the TV show "Tanked"...More

Two hours perhaps, although we've spent longer on our two visits there. Highlights: the Egyptian display, which some years ago was the display in the Luxor hotel (and then donated I believe to the museum). All reproductions... More

Via Lyft, it's about $15-$20 from the Flamingo to the museum. Taxis would be a bit more. There are certainly busses nearby, but I don't know the prices or schedules. You can access that information online, though it won't... More
