About
Located in downtown Las Vegas, this pedestrian mall spreads over five blocks along Fremont Street. Home to many casinos and hotels—including Golden Gate Hotel and Casino and Binion’s Gambling Hall and Hotel—it's also known for jaw-dropping shows and fun activities, from free concerts to the 12-story SlotZilla Zipline. Come just before evening to catch Viva Vision, a light and sound show that takes place on the world’s largest video screen—an LED canopy that spans 130,000 square feet. To make sure you don't miss any of the highlights, there's a variety of day and night walking tours available. – Tripadvisor

    Definitely an experience
A totally different experience from the Strip but worth a visit. The overhead LED light show is amazing. Lots of cheap tacky souvenir shops and street performers (some good and some downright weird). The smell of weed is off putting but was fun to see.

YOU HAVE TO GO TO FREMONT STREET!!!
I’d read a lot of reviews about Fremont Street that might have put me off. Me and my brother done the zip line which was amazing. There were bands, loads of nice people, the sights were incredible and we enjoyed it so much. You’ll see the occasional drug addict but I’m glad I didn’t let it put me off. GO TO FREMONT STREET!!

Fremont is sort of an experience.
To fully enjoy Fremont Street I think you need to suspend reality a bit. It’s bright, it’s loud, it’s a lot! People watching is fantastic - so many people having a great time and enjoying themselves. The music is good - when we were there they had three bands in different locations and they all sounded great. The light shows are good. Some places have spots to sit on the street and enjoy a drink - recommend that! If you’re looking for a place to sing along to music, have some drinks and let loose, this is your place. Overall, 3 stars because it wasn’t so much an experience versus a walk in a nest area. The use of tech is very impressive.

    Maybe worth checking out
Lots of performers on lots of stages but that meant we didn't get to hear the experience we had wanted to hear - to hear the band we wanted to hear while watching the light and image display above. There are some things here to check out but lots of just hanging out. A ways from the strip, catch an Uber at a cheap time to make it worthwhile - not worth paying too much for the drive.

If you're in Vegas, you can't miss this!
This place has a buzzing atmosphere with lots to see. It is full of "interesting" people. Lots of street performers. But the live music and the cheaper drinks make it. The lights are awesome. The fact its pedestrianised really makes it as unlike the main strip, you're not having to worry about crossing crazy busy roads or hike up stairs

Busy and crazy. Not kid friendly.
Bus ride there from the strip is sketchy. Homeless and disabled everywhere. We took the Deuce bus there and it was over stacked with people. Homeless tweakers and weed smell everywhere. We ate at tony Romas while there. Great steak. We walked the length of the experience and back and decided there must be a portal to Hell located there and went back to the strip for a calmer atmosphere. Cops write tickets for jaywalking here. Use the crosswalks and obey the signs.

    You have to go
The ceiling is a sight to see. The weirdest people come out. You’ll see Elvis and Michael Jackson. Weekend night is packed. Weed is legal there and I reckon you stay there long enough you will get high. Things are reasonable there . You have to visit ,it’s a must.

    Visit Once - that’s enough
It’s a part of Vegas on your ‘must do’ list - but only once. We visited during the day and there were enough odd-bods out already. It’s too full of people trying to pressure sell cheap tat or beg for money. Even though it was day time felt unsafe and couldn’t wait to leave. The lit up ceiling is impressive

    Always fun just be cautious
Fremont Street at night is always a kick, especially for people watching. The light shows above are always entertaining. There are usually 3 to 4 life fans performing lots of interesting people walking around, trying to earn a buck off of you. And lots of just strange things going on. cautious for those who ask if you want to have your picture taken with them cause I will hit you up for money go have a good time enjoy but watch your back

    Insane
The ceiling is impressive. The old casino fronts are nostalgic. It’s a sensory nightmare. Lots of drink and drugs on the go, a lot of strange characters and homeless characters mooching about. You have to go and walk through it but hold your belongings tight.

This is a very busy place to be. Downtown Las Vegas. The canopy of lights is so bright that even in the day you can see it well. At night, especially Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, it gets extremely busy. If you are going to Las Vegas, this is a must-see. All of the old casinos with the neon lights is a step back in time. Then you add the millions of modern LED lights that play video and music above you, and it is pure entertainment. They have bands that play on a stage at night, and there are a lot of people dressed up trying to get you to pay them $2 to take your picture with them. Also street performers looking for a few bucks. But you have to see it!

You can get from the strip to Freemont street by bus either the "duece" or "sdx" and it'll cost you $8 for 24hrs. Lots to see and do. Street performers drumming on 5 gallon pails, rolling roses out of reeds you name it it's happening. 3 different stages with dj's live music, it's a none stop party in the evening. Casino's along Freemont were very busy with a lot of action. Didn't feel threatened at all although getting there it seems a little skeatchy. You'll need a full evening to experience it all.

Download the Lyft app on your phone and it will cost you about $10 to get there. Really a different expereience from the Strip. Home of the Golden Nugget and Four Queens to mention a few. Over 12 million LED lights in the overhead canopy with different images happening all the time! Free entertainment all over the place and the people watching is second to none!

We visited here as part of our day using the Deuce bus, $8 a person for 24hrs a great way to get about the strip.

For me I felt that in comparison to the south end of the strip Fremont area felt run down, with more dodgy characters around.

The digital ceiling is cool but not really enough to keep us in the area for more than 30 mins. There is a zip wire there which is fun too watch along with a few street artists.

Personally I preferred the area by the Linq which also has a zip wire, and street artists .

Worth a visit to see what down town Las Vegas looks like!

Downtown Vegas has come an incredibly long way from where it was 20 years ago. The Freemont Street Experience is a sight to behold with the Canopy and the mass of people there on a nightly basis. The best part of it is on most nights, there are 3 - 5 bands playing fantastic music to suit most tastes and it's all free. Get your drinks at the outside bars instead of the casinos. It's usually cheaper, though you can get cheap beers at Binions. Plenty of casinos for gambling are bunched together and more affordable than on the strip. Don't let a trip to Vegas end without going downtown.

One of the best Vegas experiences. Easy to get to via The Deuce. Always seems to have great entrainment on stage, lots of people, great sound and the multi-media experience on the roof is amazing. While ads promote cheaper drinks than on the Strip that’s not something I observed but neither are they more expensive.

I was so excited to see the world’s largest arch screen ceiling, I was definitely amazed by how long and how high definition it is !!
The screen covers the whole street, there are stages along the way, the two at both ends have singers performing, atmosphere is excellent, the street is super busy, filled with all kinds of artists as well as some half naked girls...
We took a walk there while we were waiting for our table at the Rock Pizza around the corner.
This area looks much older than the Las Vegas Blvd for sure, but it is an interesting experience, and as they said, “ drinks are not only allowed but also encouraged” on this street!
Pizza was good, but not cheap... a regular size one cost over $20, FYI.
You should at least go see the cool screen if you are visiting Vegas !

The overhead show was awesome. Some of the entertainment is pretty good and some of the entertainers are rude. Be aware the show girls and most photo opportunities will cost $20 per person to take picture. Not worth it in my opinion. Overall an amazing place. The neon and lights take you back to another time.

My friends and I visited Fremont Street on a Saturday night during a NASCAR and boxing match weekend. My friend wanted to see Brett Michaels. You have to enter metal detectors to get to see the performers otherwise you are walking around the stage and you have to keep moving. There is a screen to see the performers and they also intermittently put the performer on the canopy over the street.

We bought beer and mixed drinks with ease from the outside bar. Getting into the neighboring casinos can be a little tricky if there are a lot of people to use the restrooms. We also enjoyed the many street performers. There are also a few dispensaries in on Fremont Street and lots of places to eat. Special events parking was $20. This is a good place to hang if you don’t want to walk the main strip.
