Bird preserve is just great - quiet - saw birds that I am not familiar with in this area - people in the reception area are very friendly and will answer any questions you have - a beautiful, quiet place to visit.

I went birding here with the local Red Rock Audubon group. We saw avocets, wilson's snipe, teal, common goldeneye, ring-necked ducks, long-billed dowitchers, and black-necked stilt, and more. Ideal for birding!

For us East Coasters, this place was great! A lot of new birds for our Life List. About 100 acres (?) and quite a few ponds plus the surrounding desert area made for quite a few enjoyable hours checking out unfamiliar birds. The staff were...More

I'd say yes because you need to sign guest book before entering. It's a small center with a few items for sale and a small learning area. Enjoy.
