The Governor’s Mansion is oddly set in a residential neighborhood with typical middle class houses nearby. It seemed way too fancy to be among these much more humble abodes. I am reading reviews raving about the grounds which must have been at a different time of year. In the early spring when we were there the flower beds could have used mulching and trash needed picking up.

Really pretty to stop by and take pictures. Great stop when cruising around town. A must see when in Carson City.

A very nice tour and a lot of things to learn. The mansion is beautiful! I also rented the hall for a fashion show my salon put on for s non profit organization. The staff at the mansion were very helpful and really nice to work with. It was a wonderful experience.

Great place to visit nd see. Biking around the area and talking to the locals is the best. We usually have lunch while walking the streets.

Great tour and lovely grounds. This is not necessarily open to the public for inside tours. Only on select days and holidays. They do a really nice job for Christmas and the Capitalis right down the street which they also do up for the holidays.

As we drove by, I was struck by the natural beauty of the well kept grounds.

The mansion is also very impressive and while one is unable to go inside, one can tell that their is a state's pride in this building that is also a home.

Take a drive to view it, it will be worthwhile

Nice large house but I don't know if I'd like to live in it. With tourists driving by all the time. Here are a few other houses in the area too. And the centennial tree

We basically did a driveby. Beautiful home and grounds. There are many lovely homes in the area, and if you can take the Kit Carson trail, I'm sure it would be more enjoyable, but my back was not up to a 2.5 mile walk.
