I thought the staff were friendly and informative. The animals were easy to see and looked well cared for. It’s clear the staff care about what they do. The enclosures weren’t the biggest but the centre is doing an important role especially for the bears....More

We came in very early in March, no body here and that was good. Snow still on the ground, the bears are amazing, so close and so cool. The squirrels were sleeping and we didn't see the birds of prey. The wolves are just so...More

We brought the family to see the Bears. Not much to do around town on the off season but we found the discovery center staid open. Stay a while and watch the bears. The guides where very interesting. They gave the back stories to the...More

This is an essential stop for families on their way in or out of Yellowstone. In the park, you'll see the bears, "at a distance," here you'll be able to look deep into their eyes. The museum is cool, but get outside to see the...More

This is the only place to see bears in the winter! Small facility doing really good work. We went two days in a row because different bears are out at different times. We also went to a short but informative raptor talk with the cutest...More

Great place to see bears and wolves. We stopped by on the day we arrived in West Yellowstone, which was later in the day and not a lot of time to go into the park. This is a sure way to see bears and wolves.

Impromptu visit today and this was awesome. Took us little over an hour to go thru. Got up close with the wolves and enjoyed watching the grizzlies roll around in the snow. This is a must stop if traveling thru West Yellowstone

The center is awesome. They rehab animals here and try to give them a life as close to natural as possible. They hide food for the animals so they have to search for it. They have bears and wolves which are amazing. In the warmer...More

My husband and I had an afternoon to occupy and were told about this center; we were told that if we wanted to absolutely see a grizzly bear or wolf while in town, in the winter, we should visit. It’s unlikely we’d encounter them in...More

The center was beautiful. The animals were all well fed and the staff was knowledgeable. The wolves were white as snow and there was a good quantity of that on the ground. I would highly recommend this for families.

You can't feed the bears. The keepers hide food in the bears enclosure before the bears are allowed in. Once the food is hidden, the keepers exit the enclosure. You then watch the bears as they enter the enclosure... More

The animals are outdoors, yes. But, they have indoor viewing stations. There is a small warming hut where you can watch the bears. And in a different building, a room with huge windows allows you to watch the wolves.
