I took my new camera to this little oasis. Saw beautiful streams and lots of waterfowl. Stopped and took plenty of pictures. It was a great day.

Living just a few minutes away we are spoiled. A great place for several, easy, flat terrain walks through big pines and cottonwoods. Lots of wildlife, water fowl and breath taking views.

I don't know of a better place for birdwatching from comfort of a vehicle. Bird blind easily accessible. Do a drive through or take your time .

The variety of terrain, the walking paths, the ponds all combine to make this refuge a jewel in the heart of the Bitterroot Valley. Truly a refuge for an amazing variety of wildlife and birds. I've been coming to this refuge year round for 20 years and always see something new. A great place to walk your dog.

The Lee Metcalf Wildlife Refuge area is a wonderful escape from busy life. Trails and driving routes provide access to bird watching, plants, trees and a glimpse at protected habitat all within your lens. Great for families and group visits.

Just off the Eastside Highway between Stevensville and Hamilton, this wildlife refuge has numerous hiking trails and a very educational visitor's center with beautiful mounts of most of the birds and animals found in the area. The visitor's center has a nice outdoor viewing area with picnic tables and benches.

Nice drive, great wildlife, we saw lots of birds a few deer and some turkeys, I was also told the pelicans are there too. We did see an osprey in the nest with a little one they were still feeding, hasn't fledged yet

A 2200 acre island on Flathead Lake (largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi). You need to rent a boat to get there unless you have one. Nice hiking trails. We were within 50 feet of bighorn sheep and pronghorn antelope. Did not see any wild horses as advertized but a nice half day excursion,
