Caras Park is a beautiful stretch along the Clark Fork River. Nice playground and carousel in the area. You can also throw on a wetsuit for some river surfing! Who even knew this was a thing???

When in Missoula, a stroll through Caras Park and along the Clark Fork River is a must. During the summer, you can enjoy many events, including out to lunch on Wednesdays and out to dinner on Thursday evenings. Both events feature food and live music.

The park has a wonderful setting next to the Clark Fork River. You can take in folks either surfing or kayaking on Brennan's Wave year round. During the summer months on Wednesdays you can enjoy great food and entertainment during Out To Lunch at the Pavilion. And of course there is our very own hand made Missoula Carousel for kids... Caras Park is free outdoor fun for the whole family. It offers a carousel, dragon playground, activities under the big tent and diverse musical events throughout the park. Whether you stroll through on a weekend, out to lunch Wednesdays in summer or out to dinner Thursdays in summer, you'll have a ball every time.

We just stumbled on the park after eating nearby and really enjoyed it here. There is a nice pavilion, plenty of seating, and a river that people were kayaking and tubing on when we were there. It sounds like it's a very popular spot that hosts may local events and concerts.

It's a draw for all kinds of people, from the really strange "hippy dancer" & bum to the typical family & businessman. Food, music, and festivals under the big open tent. Or... More

Lots of local events during the summer and fall. From Ft. Clark Farmer's Market to Out to Lunch, there are events with music, food, and lots of local color. Watch the surfers at the Wave, or rafters on the river, nice stroll to U of M, or to other sites around town. Wonderful place to take photos, have a picnic... More
