Had read this was a beautiful campus which it was. Historic buildings in a tranquil setting but be aware of the bikes. I noted the signs about excessive bike speed ... as a biker myself, I knew to walk on the edge of the sidewalk...More

My husband and I walked from our hotel (City Center) just so we could see the campus. We were entertained by the brass section of the marching band practicing outside. The campus is clean and has several statues and pieces of artwork to enjoy.

Toured the campus while in Missoula. All parking must have a pass of some type. Can access a visitors pass in admin office. This wasn't easy to find. Not a large campus, buildings don't have the best signage.

There are a lot of people from UM that work on the base I work on. They all talk lovingly about their school experience. We were going thru and decided to do a walkabout the campus. What a beautiful setting and a robust town.

Our children have attended the UM and then had to go out of state to find a decent job. We have watched the many struggles the UM is going through with staff, funding and bad publicity over sex scandals with the football team. Not sure...More

I attended UM in the early '80s and the good things about it haven't changed. The campus is still arguably the most scenic and inspiring in the country, with Main Hall and Mt. Sentinel providing a glorious backdrop. Everything is accessible from the central oval,...More

Stroll around on your own or check with the registration desk which is in the food court adjacent to the bookstore. There is paid parking just above the bookstore building at $1 an hour.
