We live within two miles of Wayfarers Park on Flathead Lake, but it's just as much fun to camp there as it is to drive 200 miles to some other campground. The bathroom and shower facilities are excellent, the camp hosts are friendly and the...More

It is one of the biggest lakes that I have ever seen. Great for boating and fishing. A wonderful place to take children for a weekend or just a day. Lots of activities for every one.

When I go, it is usually uncrowded, and a pleasant place to visit. Nice lake views, some shore fishing.

The most beautiful lake West of the Mississipi. Flathead Lake is a pristine glacier lake that is beautiful to behold. The State Park offers picnicking, swimming and there is a public boat ramp. A beatiful place to be all year.

Both seasons are good time to visit. Art, theatre, coffee, dining all in a couple blocks. Great to wander around.

Excellent, big views of the Swan Valley and the surrounding mountains. Worth spending 1/2 day exploring the park.

This is my favorite state park in Montana! Located on the northeast shore of Flathead Lake just south of Bigfork, the shoreline has abundant smooth stones of nearly every color and the water is crystal clear: a great swimming spot in the summer. Trails leading...More

Well worth the visit. It's a long ways to drive around the entire lake. We saw it from Big Fork and on another drive, we saw it passing through Polson.

More boats than anything else. It was a hot afternoon. We didn't stay long. Just a quick visit before driving to Glacier National Park. I think this review would have more than average had I written it prior to seeing Glacier. Parking is very limited....More

Maybe not relevant for you now, but for others wondering the same thing, camping is $28/night, but if you buy a state park pass (valid for 1 year) for $35 you get camping for $18/night, so if you're staying more than 3... More
