I didn't have the time to take a tour of the old mansion, but I am sure it would be interesting to visit and hear some of the history

We enjoyed our tour of the MT Old Govenor's Mansion. The docent was knowledgeable and patiently answered our questions. The house is filled with interesting memorabilia from WW1. The tour took about 45 minutes and was well worth the price of $4 for seniors.

There have been lots of budget cuts in the government in Helena, and tours of the State Capitol and the Original Governor's Mansion have been hit. The woman who took us through the Mansion was great, but we felt sorry for her because she has...More

Visited first time a few weeks ago. When back in town again recommended to a friend and went with her. Theme tour brought history of Montana to life. Highly recommend tour.

Things are very easy to find in Helena. We were there on a Monday and unfortunately it was closed but the outside is very elegant. We would have loved to have seen the inside but we will try again another time.

The Victorians of Helena have their own charm. While back East (Chicago to Boston) the wealthy were building mega houses, the people in Helena were building classic Victorian houses that had the charm of family living and the elegance of simple beauty. The craftsman in...More

Visited the historic home on a free tour day. Our guide provided a terrific look into the architecture and daily life of early governors. A must see for history buffs.

This tour was very interesting. The rich history behind the mansion was very interesting. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Being from Dayton, OH, it was a surprise to know that the guide was from Kettering, OH.
