This is a great activity to do as a break from hiking at Glacier. The guides were great and the trail was all on blackfeet reservation. There are other horseback riding companies in the area but we chose Glacier Gateway because you really do feel like you're supporting a local business. The whole ride was breathtakingly beautiful. I highly recommend... More

I wrote a review earlier but don't see it so maybe it got lost in the mail..haha.... but I had so much fun, I wanted to make sure to give them credit for a wonderful 2 hour ride. I am a total novice, and a senior, and they were so helpful, informative, and the horses were obviously well trained and... More

Guides Sierra and Jimmy were professional, knowledgable, and fun with our novice family. The horses were well trained and very familiar with the trail which made us feel comfortable riding them. On the way up to Mt. Henry, the horses smelled a bear ahead on the trail and got spooked and a little jumpy. They were a bit nervous passing... More

I had been in two minds as to whether to go for a ride whilst visiting Glacier, fearing that it would just be a nose to tail trudge along a muddy track. Maybe that is what it's like in the Park, but gosh I'm glad I did go with Glacier Gateway Outfitters as the ride was one of the very... More

I had not been horseback riding in probably 30 years, but when I read that I would be able to take a one, two, or three hour ride into the backcountry I was very excited. My ride was awesome. The guides were very knowledgeable and they took us out into the back country to places we would not have been... More

One morning we took the drive to the stable, hoping to get in on the 9:30 two-hour ride. We were able to book and then waited the next hour, having a lovely conversation with the owners. Such history they have with horses, rodeo, training, life. We joined up with another family on vacation from Montana..enjoyed their kiddos and our trail... More

Took a 2-hour trail ride with our 9 and 11 year-old kids. These stables are run by a Native American Blackfeet family. The horses were very calm and easy to ride. The ride took us up through wildflower-laden forests and meadows to an amazing mountaintop overlook where our guides lined up our horses and took photos of our family on... More

This will be an experience I will never forget. My husband and I booked this tour not really sure what to expect. It was even better than we could have imagined. It's glacier park so naturally the views are going to be amazing. Getting to experience all of it through the back country really added to the beauty and complete... More

This is one of the best outfitters out there! We went on a 2-hour horseback riding trip:2 kids age 8 and 9 and 2 adults. The guides are very comforting and took the time to explain that the horses had 'hearts for taking care of people', and that the ride would be slow and plain. (I was a little concerned... More

We often go horseback riding when we visit a National Park. Glacier Gateway Outfitters was one of the best rides that we have experienced. The horses were all very calm and gentle, well trained, and very well mannered. Bob, our guide who led the trip, was very friendly, knowledgeable, informative and entertaining. Bob and the other guides were all very... More
