We needed to kill a bit of time so we walked around here for a bit. Very clean, nice walkable paths, pretty views. Also the dog park appeared to be very well used as there were several dogs running around. The two ponds were nice, both had ducks in them and you can swim in one of the ponds.

This is a beautiful park. Unexpected in size and just how naturally maintained it looked. This is perhaps normal for Montana, but this was a really nice surprise travelling from California. Our dogs loved it.

If you want to hike to Hyalite Peak it is roughly 14.5 miles round-trip. This is a moderate to difficult hike. If you want to hike to Palisade Falls, the distance is 1.2 miles round-trip and it is an easy to moderate hike. For directions to Palisade Falls: Drive South on 19th Ave. (which becomes South 19th Road), then travel 7 miles to Hyalite Canyon Road and turn left. Follow the road 11.7 miles, until the fork, turn left at the fork one mile

This a great place to rent some kayak's, take the children & float the pond all day. They also have a place to play volleyball & great spots for a BBQ. My favorite is the Canadian geese swimming happily with the wild rose bushes. Kodak moments.

Our six year old daughter LOVED this park. There are mini dinosaur digs, tons of structures to climb, and fun slides and swings. If you're in Bozeman and your kiddos need to run off some steam, this is a great place to go!!

Great for an afternoon with kids, but not really an attraction I'd suggest to would be travelers. Go check out Hyalite or the M for a real hiking experience, this is mostly just a park for locals that are looking for a place to chill/run/hang out with their kids. Not even really sure why this park is on TripAdvisor, it isn't even on the top 50 list of things I'd suggest for tourists to do in Bozeman.

Great open spaces and easy to get to areas, of coarse you can always find more difficult and fun places to explore

In the years to come, this park will be a jewel of Gallatin Valley. I'm so glad for the vision of the planners who came up with this. Growth is rampant in the valley right now, but this 100-acre park is a beautiful thing whose value will grow as subdivisions continue to occupy lands around it. The ponds, trails, playground and skate park are just part of this big space. As the landscaping grows in, the initial entry to the park around the ponds will become more attractive, and the natural space beyond will only increase in value. Good views of the Bridgers from here. "Beach" area is a little weird so far, but there is sand and people do swim there. Dogs are supposed to be on-leash but most are not, which is OK with me as long as they are under voice control (and most seem to be). For travelers needing a break, this is a good choice -- the parking lot is gravel but big enough to turn around in with a trailer, it's a pretty picnic spot -- tables are near the dinosaur playground (KID favorite) and there are porta-potties around the ponds and near the playground. I see this place getting better and better over the years.

We were visiting Bozeman from out of state, and wanted a nice park to hike in with kids. We saw from the online reviews that there was a beach, and thought this park would be a great fit to our needs.
I'm afraid we were very disappointed. The park is completely flat (besides the artificial amphitheater) and nearly treeless. There are short trails out in the flat, filled with people walking their dogs. The pond is filled with algae, and is surrounded by a chainlink fence to keep the dogs from pooping on the beach. We decided to not go swimming. There is a playground for little kids, and there is a climbing rock, but both are pretty average.
If anything, this is just a common neighborhood park. I'm sure it's great for those that live in the neighborhood, but there's little reason to visit this place otherwise. Don't be taken in by the "promotional" pictures posted here; it's not an idyllic mountain park.

Being somewhat new to this area, I hadn't known of this park before. What nice surprise. A climbing rock, lake with a beach, trail, plenty of parking, covered area with tables and benches, Bathrooms clean ones. What a great find for another time. treat yourself.

NO. There is not a camping kind of park.
