Pleasant, easy hike to bluff overlooking Billings and the Yellowstone River. Helpful placards at top; volunteer greeted us near the entry with an updated map; he likes to visit.

Terrific hike. Upper part wide open and hot. Lots of buzzing cicadas. Cliffs beautiful with falcon nest sites. River approach under deep cover. Fish jumping in river.

This area is a short distance south east of Billings and is a wonderful place to getaway from the City and enjoy the great outdoors. Lots of wildflowers in Spring, wild animals, and terrific views.

The views are stunning when you hike out to the bluffs, and look out over the Yellowstone River. The other trail down to the river is a serious hike, with a sharp drop in elevation, and a steep climb back up. If you only have...More
