The rimrocks are a great place to go all year round. It is within 15 minutes of anywhere in town. The views are really great. You have to watch for rattle snakes in the spring but after that you don't see many. Dogs are allowed and there are many trails to run or walk. It is fun to go up... More

Wonderful well marked trails for a short outing. Views are spectacular. Weekday are best. Dog friendly, but I still recommend staying on leash. Parking is generous.

Just a nice spot to stop and see the views of the city . Can see the mountains in the distance. Can stop and just park, or get out and walk. Can also turn around and watch the planes take off and land at the airport.

Go at sunset or sunrise. Gorgeous view. Easy walking. Overview of City. Be sure to wear shoes. Possible snakes (we did not see any signs of any, but you can't be too careful where snakes are concerned.)

Very easily traversed with some spots more challenging. Many eye-hooks seen in the rocks where rappelling is apparently a popular activity. Signage warned against rattlers, but temperature was a crisp 34 degrees, so no worry about snakes@! Wear good hiking boots, rocks can be slippery

If it is a nice day, I highly recommend a nice casual walk on the rims to the North of Billings. Great vistas!

Billings sits in the Yellowstone river valley with the sandstone plateau to the north known as the Rimrocks (Rims for short). A bike path goes along East from the airport towards the Heights. Black Otter Trail is at the Far East end of the path. You can visit Boot Hill. West of the airport towards Zimmerman Trail are many sections... More

Big sky country! Being on top of the rims and looking down during the day gives you a sense of direction and opportunity to understand the layout of Billings Montana. And then at night, it's spectacular with all the lights! Romantic-and known for its "parking". There are areas that you can do walking, hiking, and riding bicycles. There are a... More

A great place to sit and relax, wind down after a long day. Billings lights are beautiful at night. A great skyline for a small city! Fun with a group of friends or just a romantic evening. Billings is a beautiful little city!
